D'ambrosio is a LB isn't he?

Anyways i'm curious what Mazarri will do with all these class midfielders, can you imagine Hernanes, Alvarez, Kovacic and Guarin all starting?

D'Ambrisio can play on both sides of the pitch.

As for all these midfielders, Kovacic better start lifting coz he's spend a lot of time on the bench

I don't know the price of Hernanes ( we'll know tomorrow) but anyway it was since Sneijder we didn't buy a player with at least 15 cash

and I prefer always spend 15 or more for An important than increasing the mediocrity with players paid littla as Taider, Kuzmanovic,Schelotto ...

Despite the financial statement it is a good sign this market. We bought Hernanes without selling someone,
we were not used to this.

We feared Thohir would be appeared to eyes of fans with the sale of Guarin, with only D'Ambrosio and little else as the last Moratti and instead I can say he presented well.
I do not expect follies in these 2 years but I hope simply to see common sense (the Guarin vicissitude risked to finish as Sneijder) and and willingness to take a good player if there is an opportunity. This would be a step forward compared to Inter post treble

We had to sell to buy, right? Then how on earth did we buy Hernandes for 20mil?
I've read Thohir had to "secure" guarantees from the banks, does that mean we are digging ourselves a bigger hole? I hope someone can answer.

yes had to go to the banks to get the money and our position in the FFP is worse. That said Thohir cleared 200m of the debt when he bought the club so the hole we're in is not as gigantic as it once was. Ideally we can get 20-25 million from selling Guarin and Ranocchia in the summer so we'll get our shit sorted out. As for the summer signings they will be financed by the savings we'll make from the expiring contracts (20m or so net)

This list shows how incompetent Moratti's regime was in terms of transfers. All these panic buys, all these wasted millions. Adriano, pazzini, Ranocchia, and Seedorf ( :facepalm:

I see, in that case there's no hole anymore and we should barrow to invest in the squad. Inter is not Parma or Lazio. We expect to challenge for trophies, and with all due respect for our team we are shit. All the top teams in Calcio have a better midfield than us. I was watching highlights of a couple derbies from before my god how we have fallen. Just 3 years ago we had a midfield that could score a goal from any distance with Dejan and Motta. The only real threat from our midfield today is Fredy "shoot them birds" Guarin.

Without star power there's no way we can increase our revenue. Most Inter fans became Inter fans because of a certain Ronaldo and that's what star power do to a teams growth. Ffs City and Chelsea probably have more fans then us today :facepalm:

We cant borrow and invest because we have the FFP to worry about. As of this summer we were 10m above the 45m limit, and after this winter we're much worse in that regard.

FFP doesn't exist. Monaco in their first season as a nouveau riche spent close to 200m. Let's not even start on PSG and City. It took PSG 2 years to pass all the italian teams in terms of revenue. Their commercial revenue is higher than the total revenue of the highest placed italian team lol. It's only Inter who cares about this hoax.

FFP does exist. The owners of City, PSG, and Monaco use their other companies to create sponsorship deals that pay for all these transfers. Thohir is not willing to do that and he shouldnt, coz if he treats Inter like a toy we'll be in bigger whole than the one Moratti left us in when his businesses stopped doing well.

Vidic has just confirmed he is leaving. Most likely will go to Inter by the looks of it, or atleast they are favourites to get him.

You guys will be getting a great defender with still a few years ahead of him at the top level.

Perfect leader to substitute Walter Samuel.

I am absolutely thrilled with the recent Vidic rumors.

Despite his age a player of his characteristics can last another couple of years in Serie A easily.Not to mention he's 2 classes above anything we have in defense right now.

We're also offering Ranocchia a contract extension. His current deal expires in june 2015 and we dont want to lose him for free. The player doesnt seem to excited though (for obvious reasons)

I don't watch Inter (Italian League for that matter) much (very little aside some weekly previews and reviews) and would like to ask few questions about your squad.

1. There are eight players over the age 30. Why don't you get rid of them. I think players like Samuel, Chivu, Cambiasso get quiet decent wages and might be costing you like Euro 35-40 million.

2. There are some players in late 20s whom I have heard about. If a players is decent (and been that for few years) there will be some wave (not hype) about you when you are 27-28.

I think a lot (A LOT) of money is wasted on average players. Specially when your revenue stream isn't anywhere near MU, Real, Barca, Munich. Have I got it right!!!

All our over 30 players except Palacio and Campagnaro have contracts expiring at this seasons end.

Samuel,Chivu,Zanetti,Cambiasso,Mudingayi (not sure if 2014 or 15 for Mudi) and Milito will either get released or extended on a much lower wage.

after we won the Champions League 2010 we extended the contract to some players , they were at top of career but then they are decreased because of age .... and you cannot get rid of them because noone buys them with that high salary
Anyway the contracts to Milito, Cambiasso, Zanetti, Chivu, Samuel finally will expire just in 2014.
and finally I think it will be easier to spend because we won't have these salaries

lately we have little money and this little money are spended for average player
for this reason I approved the signing of Hernanes.
It's better to spend 15+ for a big player even if he is 28-29 years than 15 for 3 average players..

That's been our problem since 2010. After winning the CL we made the mistake of renewing the contracts of the old guard, players like Milito, Samuel and Chivu were WC back then and our board though that we could squeeze a few years out of them seeing how they all were in their early 30s. This didnt work out as most of our seniors became a shadow of what they once were. In the following seasons we had tons of injury problems as we had to resort to emergency signings to plug the holes. We couldnt get rid of a lot of old players because no one wanted anything to do with them, and we couldnt get rid of the average players coz they were just that.

By the end of this season Milito's contract will expire, and so will Samuel's, Chivu has recently retired and Cambiasso will probably get an extension with a major pay cut. This money should be used to buy one or two great players and we'll recall a few young players from loan to plug the holes (instead of signing more scrubs)

The future is certainly bright. We now have an owner who proving that he's willing to invest on the right players, we have potential top players in Kovacic, Icardi, Duncan and Botta, and our academy is one of the best in Europe. With luck and good management we get back to the winnings ways but this will take a few years so we gotta be patient.

I never really rated Milito. But Samuel and Chivu were awesome in their prime (I used to watch Italian League, Roma mostly :wub:

regularly).

Another thing is your management were never serious (or absolute chaotic) about commercial revenue and fan-base. You had some good years in the run-up to the CL win and could have used that window to enhance your visibility and revenue.
