Re: Transfer News & Rumors Thread
I never really rated Milito. But Samuel and Chivu were awesome in their prime (I used to watch Italian League, Roma mostly regularly).
Another thing is your management were never serious (or absolute chaotic) about commercial revenue and fan-base. You had some good years in the run-up to the CL win and could have used that window to enhance your visibility and revenue.

Re: Transfer News & Rumors Thread
Yea, a player can do that in the last 6 months of his contract. Inter wanna close out the deal early before some oil money comes around with a bigger deal.

Inter set sights on Evra
Inter are ready to make a move for Manchester United defender Patrice Evra, who has an expiring contract with the Premier League champions.

Ferdinand is leaving Man Utd in the summer, should get him too. Then all that will be left to complete the set is to convince Gary Neville to come out of retirement

Yes because this Evra will be an improvement to Nagatomo. More heads need to start rolling before we can build a decent team again..

Diego Simeone says that whilst he is happy at Atletico Madrid, he ‘cherishes’ his history with Inter and could one day return as Coach.

That's too much...2 year contract was reasonable.
Maybe it's a 2 + 1,option for extension.

Sagna is a good RB but getting him does not make sense? Jonathan has been really good this season and Sagna is not bench material either.

We signed D'Ambrosio,I'd rather try to develop a good Italian fullback who has shown talent and consistency in Serie A over the past two years and has a lot of seasons ahead of him rather than Sagna who is 31 today.

Re: Transfer News & Rumors Thread
Yuto Nagatomo’s agent has revealed that Tottenham are interested in his client, but insists that the defender will stay at Inter.
The Japan international has been a key member of Walter Mazzarri’s team this season, and a string of consistent performances have apparently seen Spurs hold an interest, according to the 27-year-old’s representative.
“Tottenham have been following him for a while but there is nothing more than that," Roberto Tukada told Calciomercato.
“He still has more than two years left on his contract with Inter and we want to renew.
“I think we will talk during the summer. The player is happy at Inter and there is no reason to think he will change teams.”

Ausilio: "As for Ishak Belfodil, it’s not true that we spent €10m for him. I’d say it was no more than €6m, which is money we saved on Antonio Cassano’s wages by sending him to Parma in the summer. Therefore, Belfodil was practically a free transfer.”
So we basically traded one of our best forwards for a bench warmer but its a good deal ...same old bullshit..

Re: Transfer News & Rumors Thread
The Corriere dello Sport claim this morning that Inter owner Erick Thohir will bring in at least four new players in the summer.
Nemanja Vidic is already, virtually, on his way from Manchester United, but the paper insists that the Indonesia tycoon will dip into a considerable transfer kitty to sign other targets.
The new President wants a different spine to the Nerazzurri for next season, with the hopes of making a title challenge.
Patrice Evra and Bacary Sagna are two defenders said to be of interest to the San Siro side, whilst Real Madrid youngster Casemiro and Barcelona outcast Alex Song are the midfielders being targeted.
In the forward positions, Los Blancos man Alvaro Morata and Edin Dzeko of Manchester City are names the Rome-based paper believes Inter will go after.
Now this is The Corriere so i wont get ahead of myself. Morata and Dzeko are fine, song is also good, but no Evra or Sagna please..

Ausilio was asked before the Roma game if he was in London to sign Eto'o because there were reports he met his agent there, he laughed and said that Eto'o's agent has an office 100 meter away from Inter office in Milano why would he travel to London to sign him Also in Eto'o related news, his ex GF claims he's actually 39.

Re: Transfer News & Rumors Thread
Erick Thohir has admitted that Inter’s hopes of signing Bacary Sagna rest solely with the player, as he discusses who else might come in this summer.
The Nerazzurri are expected to make changes to their playing staff come the end of a transitional season that has seen the Indonesian replace Massimo Moratti as owner.
Speculation has been that Arsenal full-back Sagna is in talks with the club over a Bosman deal and, whilst remaining non-committal, Thohir has admitted to talks.
“I’m not used to making announcements if a contract is not signed,” began the President to the Gazzetta dello Sport this week.
“I can only say that we like Sagna and that at this point it all depends only on him. Announcements will be made only when there is a signature. The same goes for Palacio’s contract renewal.
“Have we signed Sagna then? I did not say that. If he doesn’t arrive, we will bring in a youth player.”
The club already have Nemanja Vidic tied up to arrive from Manchester United in the summer on a Bosman, a deal that Piero Ausilio credits Thohir with actioning.
“It was to the merit of everyone, even if I am the one that ultimately takes the risk.
“In Vidic’s contract we have included a clause in which he will have to play a certain number of games.
“Not to mention that the discussion of the average age for next season will see it at 26.5 years, with Vidic, Palacio and eventually Sagna meaning that there would be room for only one other player over the age of 30. There shall not be more than four.
“Would that fourth man be Samuel Eto’o, who has spoken to Moratti? Eto’o doesn’t know me, so it is right that he goes to Moratti.
“Yet, we need balance and Palacio is more than 30 and Icardi is very young, the attacker will have to be in between them.
“Rumours then of Dzeko, Torres or Morata? I do consider these names. Maybe one of the three will come for real, but we must apply with the above parameters.”
----
Looks like youth policy and retirement home mean the same thing in Indonesia
This also means that if we sign Sagna and Eto'o then Cambiasso and Zanetti will not get new contracts
