So now that we know everyone at the WC we can guess at what the pots will look like:

2014 Brazil World Cup Group Stage Draw Discussion Ybei

I chose to put France at the 3rd pot because they have the lowest FIFA ranking but I think there is a separate draw for that, so it could be any other European team. Feel free to edit as you please.

This makes for some interesting combinations. What do you guys think the groups will look like?

Rules:
Brazil is always in Group A
No more than 2 UEFA teams can be drawn together
No 2 CONMEBOL teams can be drawn together

I think England will dodge the stronger teams in Pot 1 and get Switzerland or Belgium.

One of the African teams from Pot 3 - ideally Ivory Coast and Australia from Pot 4.

Alternatively, a group of death with Spain, Chile and USA.

Nah it's rumored that CONCACAF and AFC teams will be placed in the same pot. So they'll be in the same pot how BC has it.

Well, Ahmadinejad is gone, and the new government is a more flexible in those talks. plus, no Israel there anyways.

I can't imagine they can't have 2, otherwise it'd make it next to impossible to randomise. 3 seems too much but I think 2 would be fine, unless you have an actual rule against it.

It's definitely a rule.

But it's not impossible to randomize. The ioilersrock fella above did it. There are plenty of combinations that are possible.

In 2010 there was a rule against having 2 CONMEBOL teams in the same group but not against having 3 European teams in the same one:

The basic draw procedure was to draw out the pots starting from Pot 1. One team from each pot would be placed, in order of being drawn, into one of eight groups from A to H. After each team was allocated to a group, its position in the group was also drawn. This determined the team's placement in the predetermined fixture schedule. This was with the exception of the seeded teams, who were automatically placed in their group's Position 1.

In order to maintain geographical separation of teams, the basic draw procedure had to be modified for the drawing of Pot 3. No South American teams could be placed into Brazil or Argentina's groups, and no African team could be placed in South Africa's group. In order to accommodate this, the first two African teams drawn would be placed immediately into Brazil and Argentina's groups. South Africa's group (predetermined to be Group A) was to be left vacant until filled by the first South American team drawn. Beyond these considerations, the principle of filling from A to H applied.[2]

In the event, the first two teams drawn from Pot 3 were Nigeria and Côte d'Ivoire, who were placed in Argentina's Group B and Brazil's Group G respectively. Algeria were then placed in Group C so that a South American team, Uruguay, could be placed with South Africa in Group A.[3]
