Re: GTA: Online
nah I've been playing missions/team deathmatches all day, want to do some races later though. deathmatch is alright..but autoaim is so boring. I heard if you disable autoaim in single player, it will only pair you with free aim players online, might do that, I'm winning TDM's but it's pretty much camp behind a wall and whoever loses patience and runs into the open first loses.

Re: GTA: Online
also some guy was camping outside the main car shop jacking killing people who were trying to sell cars, since I guess after you're holding 5k people can steal em, tried doing it to me, but I ran off up the road, he didn;t expect me to have a sniper, which you can get for free for getting into the hospital helicopter, pulled it out and popped him with a headshot from a few roads away

Re: GTA: Online
Thing is.... there are missions available all over the map which are actually a lot better than the ones given to you by the computer.
I did a cops and robbers type mission where two teams had to go out and get a package from a dirty cop and take it to its destination.
Was awesome... two teams fighting over it and the police got involved as well as we were killing each other in the centre of Los Santos lol.
There was like a pile up of 20 cars and bodies lying in the street at one point lol.
We need to do more of the missions that are marked with stars on the maps.... the competitive stuff.
As well as the races etc etc and obviously the golf and tennis too.
Also i know its not easy but need to stop being obsessed with getting money.... it will come but no need to keep doing everything on the basis i want moar money.
I personally had more fun when i went round doing random shit and playing golf than doing missions.

Re: GTA: Online
I feel you on that money point, I feel like I'll stop wanting more and more, which is all I'm doing atm, just playing non stop missions and selling cars, but I think after I buy the apartment I want I will just get back to random stuff.
I played that mission with the dirty cop earlier and had a similar experience, my most fun time online so far, at one point we pulled into the construction site thinking we could take a shortcut, but ended up pinned in, and there were like 20 cop cars, and the other team inside, and neither of us could get out with the evidence for a good 10 minutes.
The missions where its two or three teams competing for something on the map are GOAT so far.
Some friends on XBOX tell me survival mode is awesome, heard you unlock it at like lvl 15, I want to try it.

Re: GTA: Online
Me and Tom did Survival its good.... definitely need good team work to get through it though, its not like Zombies or anything we were struggling to get past round 4
But yeah its good, health, armor and weapon pickups before rounds and face waves of increasingly difficult enemies.
I think its one of those things that gets better over times as far as the whole online experience goes.... once we get our own place, better vehicles and Rockstar rolls out the create races and deathmatches tools as well as heists it will get a lot better i reckon.
Gotta get through the early grind though.

Re: GTA: Online
Game will be twice as good when people have no problem getting into loads of different player vs player lobbies with their friends
I heard that about auto-aim too, and whilst I MUCH MUCH prefer no auto-aim, I heard some people were turning it off and still getting insta-head shotted so the filter system is a bit broken, kind of like the one on pro clubs that filters Keepers.

Re: GTA: Online
that was my first race, I got taken out during the start
I wondered why it looked like you stopped right at the final straight, looked like you could have nicked second from me

Re: GTA: Online
don't understand the betting on this though, what are the odds? I mean I bet 500 bucks on you in an 8 man race and only won 200 profit.
nvm it tells you the odds at the bottom

Re: GTA: Online
catchup should be on in races IMO, there's a reason it's the default setting
Too many variables to factor in that can screw you over, yeah it's not as realistic but it's less fun if you get taken out by some scrub or freak AI drivers 10 seconds into the race
