GTA: Online

Just bought an apartment and he bought a 10 car garage and we've been getting tons of money just selling Range Rovers as you get 8k each for one.


Playing with friend and doing jobs is a blast but playing by yourself is not really that exciting, it definitely relies on paying with crews. If anyone has a PSN and is intereted in doing some jobs then add me on pistol-pete222

I can't seem to enter GTA: online anymore... don't know what's wrong

Neither could I, I've only been able to play solo lately

only solo is working atm for everyone on ps3 I believe

Played in a round of golf with random people there

were some juicy bets. I ended up winning 3 under par. Made the putt of my life on the 9th hole. Was clutch.

Considering cops are vastly overpowered (I'll rant about this tomorrow don't worry) the mission me and Firenze just done was fkn horrible

You need to steal a truck with a huge container latched onto it, and get away from 2* cops going 20mph in the heart of the City. Managed to do it, only to have a random cop car crash into me and re-launch my wanted level

Took some sexy driving and improvisation to beat it. I drove down a narrow alleyway and held 'right' to dettach the container and block all the cops from following me, 1 got through then a few sharp turns later I evaded them. Ffs.

I need to play this game

yeah, I really wanna get a big room tbh. Everytime I've played with us it's been like 3 ppl max ffs. We want a big group of us so mayhem can ensue.

Apparantly there's a way to know if your character really is gone

If he's not on your game, but exists on your rockstar social club, he's just missing until the cloud services are working again

If he's gone from both your game and rockstar social club, he's probably not coming back.

character appeared in the menu as my lvl 8 and money, clicked on it, took me to the character customization screen, then put me into the tutorial and reset me

lol I'm seeing people losing lvl 20, even saw someone complain he lost a lvl 50 with 500k

my character is definitely gone since the stats on social club reset, thankfully I still have the 110K in the bank. I was only lvl 8 so I'm not that fussed.

just completed the tutorial missions again, and cloud seems to have gone down, social club shows that I've only played 6mins on it when it's more like 50. this cloud stuff absolutely sucks. and they're hyping it up for next gen seriously why did they decide to use it for this game when it's obviously not a stable technology.

I know I might seem a sook compared to you Firenze, but I lost a 50k car and I was playing with my friend and I said "f**k it, I'm not playing this game anymore, sorry but I've had it" and I quit. I admit I did chuck my toys out my pram but its hard to earn money in the game and the car I had was awesome. To build an awesome car like that only to lose it infuriated me so much. If I lost my character like you did, I would furious, probably wouldn't play the game again.


So I'm not playing the game for some time, I've been very dissapointed with online so far. I accepted the fact that people had trouble logging in at launch as neary all major launches have troubles like that and this is Rockstars first major online launch, but people losing charcters, money, cars, apartments etc. is simply inexcusable. I might buy Fifa 14 or even play Red Dead online, which is funnily much better than GTA online.

Even then the online would still be underwhelming, most of the missions pay very poorly so the ones that do py well, you are forced to repeat over and over to make some decent money. It gets boring pretty quickly.

it's really nothing incredible, could be fun with a full lobby of people you know though, but I can't see myself playing it for months

thankfully my money is still on my new character, the apartments are all the same tier wise inside, so I'm saving up for the most expensive tier's cheapest place, which is 217k, 85k to go.

So many get together online today guys, just created a new character, hope it survives this time

The problem is the cloud servers,

Rockstar chose them because it would be harder to hack (They got hacked a bit anyway) and if your ps3 corrupted, you wouldn't lose your progress (Cloud loses peoples progress anyway)

So basically cloud *bleep* up majorly

As for GTA Online itsself, none of us have player the proper online yet, we've been doing free mode with the cpu given missions

Game modes like team dm's, races, player v player modes have been untouched by us, so I can't judge the game yet. We're essentially only going about making money in free roam

nah I've been playing missions/team deathmatches all day, want to do some races later though. deathmatch is alright..but autoaim is so boring. I heard if you disable autoaim in single player, it will only pair you with free aim players online, might do that, I'm winning TDM's but it's pretty much camp behind a wall and whoever loses patience and runs into the open first loses.
