Kevin De Bruyne has decided to leave Chelsea this January and would like to link up with Klaus Allofs at Wolfsburg, having worked with him at Werder Bremen. Vfl are looking for a permanent deal but the Blues prefer a loan.

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. I
PAROLO IS CLOSER TO ROMA
Marco Parolo edges closer to Roma. Sources confirm that the Giallorossi remain ahead of Inter and Milan for the services of the Parma midfielder. Roma are prepared to offer €2.5m for half of the rights to the player. Rudi Garcia has been very influential during the pursuit of the player. The Frenchman admires the midfielder as he believes that the former Cesena man can offer more going forward and add stability to the midfield than what he currently has at his disposal.
Roma continue their pursuit and hope the deal can be finalized soon.
--------------------------------------------
BURDISSO SALE NEARS
Centerbacks are the focus of Walter Sabatini’s trip to England. First, negotiations for Heitinga and now, suitors for Nicolas Burdisso. It appears that the out-of-favor Roma centerback is edging closer to a move to London to join West Ham. Terms of a deal are yet to be defined, but both West Ham and the player have agreed to short term deal, which is said to be for either 6 months or 18 months. Burdisso is particularly eager for regular playing time to help increase his chances of making Argentina’s World Cup squad for the summer and thus, is very eager for the move to West Ham to be completed.
Burdisso’s departure would allow Roma to bring Johnny Heitinga to the capital in January instead of June, when the player will be free to join club since he’ll be out of contract with Everton.
-----------------------------
ROMA CONTINUE FOR D’AMBROSIO
Searching for an answer on the left flank of defense, the red and yellow continue their pursuit of Torino’s Danilo D’Ambrosio despite the distinct advantage of Milan in the race. According to newspaper La Stampa, Roma are willing to offer their half of Nico Lopez or all of the rights to Gianluca Caprari to ensure they beat the competition and bring him to Trigoria six months before his contract with Torino expires. Roma are ready to offer a 4 year contract worth €1m net per season.
---------------------------------
GIULIANELLI: “(BRADLEY) WILL STAY IN ROME”
The market of Roma never sleeps as the Giallorossi search for reinforcements.
To get a clearer picture of Roma’s mercato, we spoke exclusively with Italian journalist EMANUELE GIULIANELLI of La Gazzetta dello Sport, FourFourTwo, and Il Messaggero.
THE GIALLOROSSI ARE IN FOR HEITINGA? THE INTEREST IS CONCRETE?
Of course they are. As I wrote in La Gazzetta dello Sport, he told me Roma is interested in him and he would like to come and play in one of the best teams in Italy, that plays one of the best football in Europe.
BURDISSO MUST LEAVE FIRST BEFORE THE DUTCHMAN ARRIVES?
Yes, I think the two operations are strictly connected. If Burdisso will leave, Heitinga can arrive in January; but it’s not completely excluded that, being John ending his contract with Everton, could join Roma in free transfer all the same in next June.
THERE ARE TALKS OF NAINGGOLAN AND PAROLO. YOU BELIEVE EITHER WILL ARRIVE?
I believe more in Parolo than Nainggolan. The rumors about the Belgian midfielder look more like misdirection by Sabatini. Do you remember Kameni and Stekelenburg?
THE AMERICAN MICHAEL BRADLEY MAY ALSO BE SOLD?
No, no chance: he will stay in Rome.
THE MATCH OF ROMA-JUVE AFFECTS THE MARKET?
I don’t think so, Roma will try to improve the roster in any case.

Great signing. Chelsea match made it painfully obvious Liverpool needs a good player in the final third.

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. I
I think Coentrao extended his contract last season until 2017 (not 100% sure).
But it is completely likely that he will be sold, he needs to rejuvenate his career elsewhere. Looks like he completely lacks the desire to play. (partying and smoking doesn't help his chances either).
Madrid should be looking at a Coentrao-Matic swap

Matic is CL cup tied, it's not an advantage for us, and it forces us to go on the market for a back up LB

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. I
We have Arbeloa and even Di Maria. LB is not an area Madrid lacks backup.
Madrid should go for Matic, he is a quality CM. He's cup tied, but he could be used in the league, and for the future. The list of quality, non-cup tied, (and available) CMs is slim to none.
Besides, it wouldn't hurt a club like Madrid (with their funds) to go for 2 CMs in the winter (Matic + someone not cuptied). It's been Madrid's weakest area for years. Especially considering Xabi's contract extension is still up in the air.
edit: as long as its not another Modric/Xabi/Illarramendi type. Madrid lacks variety in the midfield with Khedira out.

I really dont see the point of signing a player that is cup tied, just like, it's better to give minutes to 4 players, than to have 5 players who dont play enough. Depth is only valuable if your back ups have enough game time.

He ain't better than Giroud, so not sure why he's being linked to Arsenal.
Also wouldn't mind Matic next summer if Alonso leaves.

Morata has 79 pace which will be a plus on Giroud's 64. Along with the fact he is more agile and a much much better dribbler.
And Matic is nothing like Alonso. Matic = Khedira.

Matic is nothing like Khedira either. He's got superb technique unlike Sami. Has more finesse and agility I'd say.

I just don't see the point of signing a lesser player just because he isn't cup tied. If there is a better option I am all ears, I just think it's a little nearsighted to sign a quick fix midfielder just for CL.

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. I
1) i didnt know that Matic was so good we needed him at all cost
2)list of guys who arent cup tied but good enough? Luiz Gustavo, Sandro, mavuba, Toulalan
3)it might be near sighted, but it's better than spending a lot on a guy like Matic when in the summer you can go after much superior players like Vidal.

We have one of those in Sturridge, he was just out because of the Owl's idiocy. Never hurts to have other options on the pitch though. I'll wait until it's official before getting excited personally.M99 wrote:Great signing. Chelsea match made it painfully obvious Liverpool needs a good player in the final third.

Owl was stupid, and his comments were just as bad, but Daniel injured himself in Liverpool's training. Thank God he's back in training, should be back by the time we play at Stoke.

He injured himself in training because he pushed/was pushed too hard playing with an injury on international duty when he should have been resting.

Fantastic pick up if true, and considering the source it's probably true
