The team in for Draxler appears to be Arsenal who are considering springing his release clause. The only thing holding things up is that Schalke wants Holtby as a stop gap until the Summer.
I'm sure Spurs will rush to help that transfer go through

I think it is improbable that Julian Draxler would leave Schalke in the winter. 1. ist is a World Cup year and at Schalke he's a guaranteed starter when fit, and 2. he'd be cup locked for the CL.

“Giovinco and Arsenal? There is a request for information but not an interest that goes beyond that,” Claudio Pasqualin (Giovinco's agent) told Tuttomercatoweb.
“The occasion, however, it is useful to reiterate that Sebastian will remain at Juventus.
“It's nice there are interests of this type but they are destined to remain as such."

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. III
Joleon Lescott has been told his proposed move to West Ham is on hold until Manchester City sign a replacement, with the club stepping up their pursuit of Porto duo Eliaquim Mangala and Nicolas Otamendi in recent days.
Manuel Pellegrini despatched scouts to Portugal last weekend to watch Porto’s 2-0 defeat against Benfica in Lisbon, in which both centre-half targets featured.
City are keen to reinforce their defence this month and had identified the £35 million-rated (€42m) Mangala as the ideal candidate to partner captain Vincent Kompany, but view his Argentine team-mate as a potentially cheaper alternative.
Lescott, meanwhile, is hopeful of sealing a move to West Ham where he will be guaranteed first-team football and a chance to boost his hopes of being included in England’s World Cup squad.
The 31-year-old has agreed deal in principle with the Hammers that would see the relegation-threatened side match his £90,000-a-week (€108,000) salary until the end of the current campaign and will receive a bonus three-year deal on £50,000-a-week (€60,000) should he help Sam Allardyce’s team beat the drop.
The east London club ended a nightmare run of just one win in their last 10 games with victory over fellow strugglers Cardiff on Saturday and currently sit one place outside the drop zone by virtue of a superior goal difference.
Lescott, who moved to the Etihad Stadium from Everton back in 2009 and who was an integral part of City’s title-winning campaign, has featured just 15 times under Pellegrini this season.

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. III
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has insisted that he has yet to make a final decision about his future, with both Real Madrid and Manchester United closely monitoring the midfielder's situation.
The 23-year-old has a contract with BVB until the summer of 2015, but the Bundesliga side are keen to extend the influential Germany international's stay at Signal Iduna Park.
Gundogan - who is still recovering from a back injury - has held off Dortmund's advances so far, but he has made it clear that he will soon make up his mind over where his future lies.
"I have not made a final decision yet. BVB are the first team I am talking to," he was quoted as saying by Sport Bild.
"I will soon make a well-thought decision. But I am keeping my options open at this point.
"Borussia Dortmund have not set me an ultimatum. I am just trying to get healthy again and get back to my best form. That's the main priority for BVB and for myself."
Gundogan has made just one Bundesliga appearance so far this term due to his ongoing physical problems.

Schalke general manager Horst Heldt admits Julian Draxler could leave the club as Arsenal consider a bid for the midfielder.
“We continue to hope that Julian stays,” Heldt told Bild. “But there are things that we can not influence.”
Schalke have already completed a deal to sign Sidney Sam, Bayer Leverkusen's attacking midfielder, at the end of the season, while the Bundesliga club are also keen on signing Tottenham's Lewis Holtby on loan.
Holtby has been seeking clarification over his future at White Hart Lane, while the midfielder's agent claimed on Wednesday that the player is open to a return to his former club.
"Lewis is desperate to play, which is why we are looking intensively for solutions," Marcus Noack told Bild.
"Schalke is an interesting option."

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. III
Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon does not feel Cristiano Ronaldo will finish his career at the Santiago Bernabeu, as he expects the Portugal star to return to the Premier League at some point.
Ronaldo signed a new deal with Los Blancos until the summer of 2018 at the start of the season, yet Calderon feels that the lure of the England will eventually prove to be too strong for the prolific attacker.
The 28-year-old joined Madrid from Manchester United in the summer of 2009 and he recently revealed that he has not forgotten about his former club just yet.
"I do not think he will finish his career at Real. I feel that one day he will return to England," Calderon told The Sun.
"In Madrid, he is pleased with the city and the fans, but I think his relationship with [current Madrid president] Florentino Perez is not as good as it was with Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.
"Ronaldo loves father figures. With Florentino, he does not have that rapport. The relationship is bad or actually non-existent. He stays at Real despite the chairman.
"It was very important to keep him with us for the image of Madrid and for his level of performance in the years to come.
"Cristiano was born to play for Real Madrid. Everyone in the world wants to have Cristiano in their team."

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. III
Steven Defour will ask to leave Porto amid interest from Tottenham and Aston Villa, according to his agent.
The Belgium international moved to the Portuguese champions in 2011 from Standard Liege but has made just 13 starts in all competitions this season.
With the 25-year-old eager to secure a place in Marc Wilmots' Belgium squad for the World Cup in Brazil, his agent Paul Stefani has revealed Defour will seek a move.
"Steven will tell his club he wants to leave because he wants to play in the World Cup," Stefani told DH.be.
Stefani has also claimed Aston Villa and Tottenham are also interested in acquiring Defour, who was linked with Premier League champions Manchester United prior to his Liege exit.
"Aston Villa? It can become real. There was interest from a few other clubs in England but to say that he may sign there tomorrow? No," Stefani added.
"Anderlecht has been the most concrete from the beginning. They always said they wanted to have Steven.
"Of course Anderlecht has a chance but Steven receives phone calls from other agents who promise him a transfer to Tottenham. It is normal that when you hear the name of Tottenham, we want to think."

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. III
Sky Sport 24 are reporting that the Anfield side are in 'pole position' to sign Udinese defensive midfielder Emmanuel Badu. Chievo are also rumoured to be interested in the 23-year-old.
Interesting story from La Liga. Barcelona have confirmed that almost 70% of Neymar's transfer fee from the move which brought him to the Nou Camp went to a company owned by the player's parents. The club was forced to reveal details as they are being investigated on perceived irregularaties in the deal.
Reports from Brazil estimate nearly £34 million went to Neymar's family as a "signing bonus".
West Ham have confirmed that Carlton Cole has signed an new 18-month deal.
Newcastle United and Southampton face a battle to land Vitesse right-back Kelvin Leerdam. Both are reportedly interested, according to sources in Holland, and are rumoured to both be willing to pay €6.5 million for the Dutch defender who has scored seven times this season.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that Sporting Lisbon want to sign Manchester United's Nani until the end of the season.
Meanwhile, according to L'Equipe, Premier League leaders Arsenal look set to miss out on Legia Warsaw midfielder Dominik Furman. The newspaper reports the 21-year-old is apparently on the verge of a move to Toulouse.
With Hull closing in on strike duo Nikica Jelavic and Shane Long, something has to give for the Tigers and it looks like it will be frontman Aaron McLean - who Sky Sports are reporting is heading to Bradford to finalise discussions over a move.
Daily Mail: Cardiff are very much in the hunt to land Fabio da Silva on a season-long loan this January.

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. III
Fulham manager Rene Meulensteen has revealed that West Ham rejected a bid for Ravel Morrison but claims the midfielder wants to join the Cottagers.
Speaking after Fulham's 3-0 FA Cup third-round win over Norwich City on Tuesday night, Meulensteen told reporters: "Yes, we did [put in a bid for Morrison] but we got knocked back.
FULHAM LATEST
11/10 Fulham are 11/10 with Betway to be relegated from the Premier League
"We need to review it and move on. I'll leave it with [Fulham CEO] Alistair Mackintosh. I'll have to wait and see what happens."
Asked if Morrison wants to join Fulham, Meulensteen stated: "Yes, because I have known Ravel for a long long time. The thing is we have to wait and see how the clubs and everything goes. We'll see what we get.
"The fee is not for me to discuss. I'll leave that to Alistair Mackintosh. I've made my desires clear and will leave them to it. We'll review it because I don't know the ins and outs of how it has been rejected."
The Dutchman has been promised money this January by new club owner Shahid Khan and has been linked with moves for Mohamed Diame, Joleon Lescott and Ryan Bertrand as they look to climb out of the Premier League mire.
Morrison's current contract at Upton Park is due to expire in the summer of 2015.
