Granero has to take a paycut from his current €2.3m a year, if he wants to join Real Sociedad on loan from QPR, according to Mundo Deportivo.

However both clubs are happy with the deal.

Sky Sports understands Newcastle United have pulled back from a deal for Bafetimbi Gomis.

Magpies chiefs had been locked in talks with Lyon and Gomis over the past few weeks, and they were hopeful of pushing the deal through well before now.

Luis Gustavo update

Arsenal have offered Bayern Munich £17.2m for Luiz Gustavo, according to Sky sources.

Talks are ongoing over a potential deal for the midfielder, who was part of Brazil's Confederations Cup squad this summer.

Wolfsburg were close to signing the 26-year-old, but it is understood he would prefer to move to a team in the Champions League.

Sevilla President Jose Maria Del Nido has insisted that whoever wants Geoffrey Kondogbia has to pay his release clause.
