Re: Champions League 2013/2014 discussion
Tbh i like Man Utd's group, i see a group where any two from 4 teams could qualify and i wouldn't be surprised at all.
The rest to me are boring apart from Arsenal's group, you could pick the two who will qualify and be right 99% of the time.
Man Utd's group is very unpredictable IMO.

With our defense I wouldn't be too surprised if we don't qualify, or we qualify second. We only need two injuries for instance Pique and Masche and we are done (i do not count Puyol, as he is injured every second game by default, so is Adriano).Harmonica wrote:Group 16 CL's.

So FC Brazil Donetsk, Griezmann + Vela and Bayer Leverkusen... that's deceptively difficult. Any of those two teams who slip up a couple times may be in danger
Away at Ukraine on a midweek night... ffs
At least we can't screw around like we did with OteLOL before if Moyes wants to make an impact...

These Manu fans thinking they have the group in the lock
This is the first time they are having a tough group in years with 3 very good teams. No game is going to be easy especially the away ones.

Mostly agree with that Mole tbh
I'm not sure Arsenal will make it through.

I am really surprised that people are even considering that Socieded can make through, never saw them.
Btw, everyone will be surprised how good Hyypiä is doing with everkussen team

Yeah, one injury in defense, and it's definitely back to score more than opposition-style.eelir wrote:With our defense I wouldn't be too surprised if we don't qualify, or we qualify second. Well if you had seen them before you would know why people are considering sociedad making out of the groups.HEIL MEIN REDS wrote:I am really surprised that people are even considering that Socieded can make through, never saw them.

Re: Champions League 2013/2014 discussion
I have underestimated Sociedad too many times, i refuse to do so any longer.
They have entered my Basel phase of me underestimating them so many times i have to accept they are actually f*cking good.
I say the same about Leverkusen tbh, they are a very good team which a lot of people will be surprised by i feel.
All 4 teams in that group could easily finish 1st or 4th

Leverkusen are in-form, they can be a tricky side.
Real Sociedad...I am afraid of them. They are playing very good football, watched them against Lyon and they seem to be 'the Malaga' of last seasons.

Right, but they are also barely getting used to playing with each other whole the likes of Sociedad and Man Utd are on great chemistry ATM. I would pick Utd and Sociedad to advanceGreat Leader Sprucenuce wrote:You realised they signed Bernard, Fernando, Wellington Nem, Taison, Facundo Ferreyra and an Attacking midfielder called Fred?Firenze wrote:Shakhtar sold their best players, not worried about them
You might not know much about these players but you soon will do
I wouldn't underestimate Shakhtar at all.

There are very few gimmies in CL. Usually only one clearly lesser team per group if any. Otherwise, all the other teams have enough talent to get a result.

Chelsea, Bayern, Madrid and Barca will walk their groups. No need for this faux respect.

And Leverkusen, Sociedad, and Ukrain are rough places to go win at. Barca and Madrid regurlaly struggle at Sociedad ffsGreat Leader Sprucenuce wrote:I have underestimated Sociedad too many times, i refuse to do so any longer.

Piss easy for utd. Did I miss the big awakening for sociadad? When did they become a powerhouse? When the 2nd seeds have sold their best players, it's an easy group. It's easy because the other three are on the same level and will take points off each other. It'll be hard to keep up. Done and dusted. Oh and arsenal lolz

Becaus they're not up to much.
We faced Bilbao in the Europa leg ffs, we couldn't give two shits about it. Are they better than Madrid who couldn't create a chance v us over two legs until nani was sent off?
Alright then
