Who will win the Champions League 2014-15 ?

Thought it was appropriate to have this thread now that the transfer window has ended.

I really hope people can be as unbiased in their voting as possible knowing their teams' compete in the CL too.Options in the poll.

I think Man Utd are the clear favorites. A lot of world class talents in their squad.. Di Maria, Falcao, RvP, Rooney, Anderson to name a few.

I voted for Bayern, but I think it'll be between Barca, Bayern, Chelsea, Atleti and PSG.

I think Real have ruined their chances by selling Di Maria and Alonso.

Barca, Bayern, Chelsea, Real Madrid are my top picks.
but wouldn't be surprised to see PSG, Atletico Madrid, and maybe Dortmund in the semi's

I believe they have the most balanced team in Europe atm.Quality in every area of the pitch and in Costa,they now have a striker who was one of the best players of last season's Champions League.Chelsea missed that lethality upfront last season but they have been adequately reinforced now.

I wouldnt count out teams like Atletico either apart from the usual suspects.

Also,Arsenal are my dark horse for this year's edition.

Bias aside, I still pick Chelsea. As Surag said, our squad is probably the most balanced of all the CL teams. All things click well and we may well end up winning the CL + PL. Last season I didn't expect us to win anything(as early as August too). This year I expect us to win those two. I'm confident in the team.

I think Barca have a good chance too, however. I think they're back to some of the basics of their brand of football(judging off their last match) and they will be in even better form by next year.

I find it real difficult to predict/assume who will win the CL. I expect the following to be in the QF though:

Barcelona
Madrid
Atletico
PSG
Bayern
Dortmund
Chelsea
City

I'd say balance wise Chelsea seem to be up there. Bayern have quite a few injuries and missing key players at the moment and who knows they could be facing this throughout the season. Real Madrid still got a chance despite losing key players, but losing Di Maria and Alonso does decrease their chance slightly. We have improved a bit, but it'll depend on how Messi/Suaraz/Neymar click and how back line does, which will have to see once we face some top teams PSG and Madrid will be our test in the next 1-2 month. I don't know why, but I think Simone Atleti will still be a pain to everyone this season as well as they were last season.

I'd also give a chance to Dortmund and City, but top teams in no order will be Chelsea, Bayern, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atleti.

I personally believe Chelsea will take it.

I guess it might be Bayern this time again. It's fascinating - after Jupp won them the CL, everybody thought now Bayern could manage the feat and win it again, but then Pep turned the squad topsy-turvy.

When Real won the last issue, I was convinced it should be easy for them to win it again, but now their squad has been completely shaken up, too, and it looks as if the CL is again for the grabs of others.

BTW, I would love to see Dortmund win it, but I have no clue how Shinji will integrate and whether Ilkay Gündogan will return to his top form again.

Too early for this thread but I think Real Madrid could make it a back-to-back trophy. See their new signings they could be dubbed as a powerhouse team they have Javier Hernandez on loan, Keylor Navas, James Rodriguez, Toni Kroos and for their retained players they have Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos and others.

Their retained players knows how each other works, they know how they will collaborate with one another. Meanwhile for the new signings of course they have to cope with one another.

It's just a matter of coping and finding the right places I'm sure Real Madrid will win

I don't think we'll win it this year. Last year we had a good draw and only just beat Dortmund. I mean if teams like Bayern and Barca, who were meant to be the future for the next decade couldn't retain it, then what chance do we have?

In terms of who will, I'll say the candidates are Chelsea/Barca/Bayern etc. The usual favourites and possibly some underdogs such as Dortmund/Atletico/Liverpool/Roma. It's hard to predict at this stage.

I think Chelsea are one of the best, provided that they dont face injuries to players like Costa or Fabregas. As I say one of the best, for me, Madrid, Barca, Bayern have equally good chance of doing it. If all of these teams dont face each other in 1/8th, there is a good chance that we will see all of them in Semis. But I think Chelsea wont win it this year, probably next

I can't find any weakness in their team atm.

My top 5 would probably be Chelsea, Barcelona, Real, City and maybe Bayern but they don't convince me TBQH.

I do see Liverpool and Juventus with an outside chance though. The quality is there.

I voted Chelsea, they finally found a great striker, their midfield is great, defense isn't really great though but Courtois is just insane and he offset it somehow.
I don't see Real Madrid going far this year, I think Barcelona, Dortmund, Atletico and PSG will do well.

Also, why is everyone saying Chelsea's defense isn't great? They have a Top 2 keeper in between the posts, Azpilicueta is one of, if not the best 1v1 defender in the World, Filipe Luis is elite, Ivanovic has started the season like a house on fire and finally Cahill/Terry are among the best CB partnerships in the World and complement each other very well.
