I have a feeling Giggs will start. Moyes will look to him for experience.
btw, I remember that goal by Robben. Great strike.

-----------DDG------------
Rafael-Smalling-Jones-Buttner
-------Carrick--Fellaini-------
Valencia--Kagawa--Welbeck
-----------Rooney----------
In these games we really miss a player like Park who could work hard and defend while also contributing to counter attacks and pressing from the front. I'm hoping Valencia and Welbeck can do this.
Kagawa needs to start. He is good enough with the ball to produce a clever pass or turn even while being pressured.
Rooney up top will be vital. I expect him to help out in midfield like he usually does to give us that extra solidity in the middle.
Giggs might start and deserves to after his last performance. I don't want Rio or Vidic near this game. We need pace everywhere and Rio can only walk now anyway. But I fear It's going to be like a battle in WW2 where Bayern have a squadron of 11 Tiger Tanks while United have 11 foot soldiers armed only with swords, led by General Moyes who still rides on a horse.

I think we'll play 4-3-3 no Kagawa. Moysie will use the Man City game as evidence (1st-half we were improving, until Kagawa came on and we switched to 4-2-3-1). If Valencia is injured or he uses him at RB, than maybe Kagawa will replace Mata in that formation.

I said good chance not that we'll win I think definitely closer than the two finals (against barca), plus you are not as possession dominant as them. You had trouble with the-ox against Arsenal, I think we could have given you some real problems with our pace
anyway, I hope Neuer is ready

In all honesty, DeGea is just great though. You don't need to be envious of our goalie at all.
It's not his fault he practically never plays with the same defense in front of him.. what was the number?
47 games, 47 different formations under Moysie?

We love De Gea
Yeah Moysie has had a different starting line-up in every game
We've had 11 different CB pairings playing in front of De Gea too. You can see the problem when we're trying to play an offside, someone like Buttner/Jones messes it up.

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Uefa Champions League Thread
i wont pick buttner today. it would be suicidal. welbeck can defend better than him. so i will go with him as a wing back rather than butterman.
Anyway for my own personal satisfaction, I will simply post my formation even though I am pretty sure I wont see it on the field like 99.9999%
---------------de gea------------
--------jones----vidic-----evans------
valencia-------------------------welbeck
--------carrick---rooney---giggs------
-----------------kagawa---------------
-----------------januzaj--------------
fellaini will fuk it up big time tonight. i am cent percent sure of that. they will just play with him, he will get pissed off and will earn himself an early shower. so i will opt him out. and rooney in the midfield is that (much needed in a game like this )out of the box decision which can give the team a boost and can unsettle the opposition. he is our best player and he should play in the position where can get involved the most. So for once play in the midfield pleaseeee!!! the team need you there.
januzaj as the cf is a worth a shot. chicha is low on confidence. so yea why not. after all we have nothing to lose.
valencia as the right full back. yea i know. But no other option we have I reckon. Both rafael and smalling are unavailable.

so that's what Moysie was doing all those weeks - secretly practising that 3-5-2 to trump us

Whatever happens, happens. I just hope our players give a good account of themselves. That's the only thing I ask for.

yea. a mix of 3-5-2 and 5-3-2. albeit i doubt moyes even know about such a formation existing in football we can live in vague hope.

He's a disaster in every facet. So out of his depth at this level. Like a child wide eyed on his first visit to Disneyland. Everything is like woooooow to him.
He's so small time.

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Uefa Champions League Thread
So bloody typical that Rafael gets injured again. It's so vital we get a new RB in the summer.
I don't know how I feel about that line-up tbh. Whoever we lined up, it wouldn't make much difference other than which side can keep the scoreline more respectable.
Would have liked Kagawa and Januzaj to feature...especially Kagawa.
Either way, this is going to be a very very difficult match. If we're not too careful, Bayern could make the 2nd leg a meaningless glorified friendly.

Who to get sent off? Fellaini is my guess. He just can't seem to keep his elbows down, and is clumsy as f*ck

Yep, it's written in the stars that he will break another record tonight.
Fck it, if we're gonna lose, I hope we get battered so the fans will turn and we can get rid of the disease.
