Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Uefa Champions League Thread
Yes, Fellaini covered Evra's back very well a few times. But Evra is one of our best players in attack and not only. Beside the fact that he is our best player when it comes about crossing, he defends well and his positioning in defense is quite impressive considering his age; the only thing that pulls him down is the speed of his movements and his stamina.
I hope Fellaini will get involved more in the attacking phase in the next matches. We need Fellaini in the midfield against City, then...maybe we could use Clevs at home vs Liverpool in the Capital One Cup.

Today's match was an eye sore. Couple of things:
We played badly but could have won the game 0-3. How the heck did Cheech miss that sitter? smh. He usually buries those chances for fun. RVP's chance off the post, and ofcourse, the missed penalty( which I'm glad we missed.)
Young is a disgrace. Not only a crap player, but a cheat too. Get rid of him, United.
Fellaini did alright tbf...not mindblowing or anything, but an improvement on his previouse games. He was dumb af for doing that tackle which resulted in his sending off. Just plain stupid.
It would have been important to get the 3 points today against one of the worse teams in the CL. It's still in our hands though. Bayer and Shaktar drawing today is a relief.

so far so good. 0-2
best football from us after a long while.
rooney, kagawa (in his preferred no.10), giggs evans excelling.
beyer is luckily for us wilting under pressure and has been poor . stage fright may be
hopefully we wont drop back and allow them to come back into the game.

holy fack, who is this team??
beat 2nd place German team....yet tie scrub Cardiff on the weekend.
this team clearly has motivation issues vs. smaller lesser sides.
Wazza continuing his Brilliant form for us this season, and Kagawa has looked brilliant today

If I can sum up a summary of this match in short, it will be 'Everything clicked'.
Kagawa as a number 10 is a great sight to see. You can see just how comfortable he is and the way that translates on the field.
Everyone was brilliant....but I must say, Bayer are absolutely dog turd. We won't get an easier game for te rest of the season imo, although I hope we demolish teams in this fashion more frequently.
Smalling scored too

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Uefa Champions League Thread
now the big question pops up, if rvp is available will we drop kagawa for the spurs game?
rooney-shinji combo it seems has got tremendous understanding on the pitch.
playing kagawa in the wide role is a waste as it has been proved time and time again this season. so if at all he his to be included he is to included in the #10 position.
seeing the way we played yesterday with all that creativity and linking ups, i personally will think twice before changing that front line for the spurs game

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Uefa Champions League Thread
Such a negative line up. Moyes is such a coward...we're playing Olympiakos ffs...not Bayern Munich. Treat this game like the Crystal Palace game. Go for our most potent attacking players.
I can't stand Young and Valencia. Prepare for such a boring and dull display.
I feel sorry for Kagawa, Moyes has treated him so badly. I hope he airs him out when he leaves the club in the summer- which is a certainty.

Disappointing. You really have to question a manager when he doesn't rate Kagawa over Young/Valencia, you really have to.

I don't know what to say, man. Need to stop myself from going into a meltdown...before a ball's been kicked.
Let's just hope RVP and Rooney can conjure up some individual brilliance and that our boys in the back don't have a lapse in concentration. Then all will be fine. Despite the line up, we should be able to beat them.

We should still win, but it's more what that line-up shows, small mentality for our manager

Moyes is a massive coward, mate. Olympiakos making him shet the bed lmao.
Young and Valencia are only playing to help out defensively because as we all know, they offer fck all going forward. urgh

Lol were playing a style which respects olym I swear this is comical. Our players are so deep that our cf are having to drop deep to get the ball. And smalling at rb is a disaster.
