Re: Who is this Jackson Martinez?
Better fit than Mandzukic for Atletico though, as he is good in the air and quick enough to play on the counter (although much worse with the ball than Falcao or Costa were).

Re: Who is this Jackson Martinez?
great point on jardel. to be fair, there could have been a multitude of reasons why not much attention was given towards him by europe's elite, besides abundancy of strikers. this is the age we are in now. with more money in the game, teams can set ridiculous prices, and if you want the player so bad, then you have to make plans for long negotiations and run the risk of losing him to another rich club, or just pay up.

Re: Who is this Jackson Martinez?
The thing is , he may not be worth 35m , but i think he has everything to do very well for Simeone's Atletico .
Admittedly , i haven't seen him play that much , but he has good positioning as far as i can tell and he's legit physicaly and i can already see him score at least as much as Madzukic did tbh.
The thing is , he made the right choice no matter the teams he rejected , cause neither at Arsenal nor at Milan he would be as good . Arsenal need someone better than him on the ball and more involved in hold up play than he is , not bad but they can do better imho and at Milan most likely he would lack the support he's used to from the midfield .
In Atletico , within a team that feeds their CF a lot and takes advantage of the counter at an impressive rate , combined with his positioning and athletisicm , i am pretty sure it will be a very positive signing for them , at least for next season . I can see why he would want to play for Atletico and i think he made the right choice , regardless of who was involved for his signature .
I agree he ain't that better , if at all , than Dzeko anyway , personaly i hoped he rejected Milan so we could go for Dzeko maybe , said that before Di Marzio brought Dzeko's name for Milan up .
And in any case , in today's game , i think it's much more important to have a midfield that can produce a lot for a mediocre-decent CF , than have a lacking midfield that can only support an impressive-WC CF only so often . And frankly , i think Jackson fits the first category , he is as much reliant on support and in his positioning to get goals like many many other forwards , certainly not one of those strikers who can create their own goals with minimum support and quality feed from their midfielders.

Jackson
Then comes Ronaldo, Suarez, Aguero but they're obviously in the lower bracket.

LOL indeed.
At least now there should be absolutely zero reason for Pekerman to call up either Jackson or Guarin.

Looks like Chinese clubs have developed quite the bad case of 'more money than sense'.

I knew Jackson would be a better investment than Bacca.
4% return in just 6 months for Atletico.

Guangzhou Evergrande doe ? Truly China's Real Madrid in the making . You only have to take a look at their badge , it all makes sense after that . Imo they just need their own version of Perez , although maybe he's already there seeing that moto be the best forever
i swear if i saw this is in some anime i'd never think twice
