Jackson Martinez
Porto's president Da Costa just confirmed that Martinez has chosen Milan.

Re: Jackson Martinez
I hope he does well here
But if I was in charge of transfers at Milan, he won't be my first choice
Now that he's here, he has my full support though

Yeeees , welcome Jackson Martinez ffs
Last time we paid for a player anywhere near that amount was Nesta , or was it Rui Costa .. lol
Did Milan actually sign a player for 35 million euros
Grazie Presidente

Re: Jackson Martinez
say what you want about Galliani and i will agree... but with a Milan known to get scrublords and free agents for years , also having finished 8th and 11th in the last 2 years..
to convince him relatively soon to join Milan over a major EPL competitor , well , that was quite something really , release clause and what not.
and yes. GTFI
If Kondogbia joins next week i wouldn't know how to handle this really .

Please Ibra and Kondogbia next week. The great thing is that we are signing players early. I think this is because we are going to play in China and it is the main market we are targeting.

I cannot believe that we just signed a good talented player and he wasnt for free.
I feel like the last time we spent 30mils+ was when WW2 was still happening....I AM EXCITED!

Re: Jackson Martinez
I don't get the Ibra thing. Hes my favorite player, i even have 2 of his jerseys (milan and psg). But i dont want him at all right now, hes the best striker in the world or one of the best. But hes old and i want to actually rebuild. I would rather save that money and spend it on young CBs or Midfielders. Tired of getting old ass players, that same stratgey hasnt worked out for us for the last decade. Lets stop.

Re: Jackson Martinez
Ibra would bring attention back to Milan and would be a worldwide statement saying that we are back. I think the publicity gained from getting Ibra back would cover his cost. Also, with Ibra, we would be able to get back to the top instantly instead of taking risks with young players with potential (e.g. Liverpool), which would take more time. Based on the rumours so far, it seems we are making a starting eleven which has a good mixture of youth and experienced players. Also, it seems that our bench will be filled with players that have potential. I see this as the perfect approach to getting back on top.

I've got no problem with Ibra coming back at all. But i do have a problem if we just get Ibra and dont get better talent on midfield and defense. It would be a terrible move for the future.
Our management is notorious for bringing back old players and not rebuilding hence the reason why we are in this position in the first place.

Re: Jackson Martinez
I agree with you in that regards, but I do think that we will bring in more players. Remember that this time, we have Doyen and other individuals from Mr. Bee's side that can provide guidance in the rebuilding of the team. I expect Mr. Bee to buy Milan completely after 2 years.

Good point, lets see what happens. This transfer window might be the most exciting one we've had in a while. And god knows we needed that badly...
But anyways, back to Martinez! Cannot wait to watch him play against Venzuela on sunday. I am definitely riding the Colombia train in the copa america now. Hop on fellas.

i mean 30+
It was actually Inzaghi , Nesta and Rui Costa which cost us anywhere near that amount . Damn the football market gone crazy
Anyway . Dat lad Jackson Martinez
Should be a beast in Serie A really . Has the athleticism , decent speed for his height , has very good accuracy with his shots and his positioning is really good. Give him a working team behind him and he will bang dem goals next season .
Give him a great midfield and i bet you anything , he will finish next season near 20 , or over 20 goals. He's quite the beast in the box really , very strong and has really quick reflexes for such a big lad .
I am curious to see how well he can do in his first year. With teammates looking to feed him goals , i think Milan will be fun to watch next season , especially if we finally fix taht god damn midfield.

Re: Jackson Martinez
I'm excited to see our midfield set up next season. So far we haven't been linked to any super talented creative midfielder and it's giving me a lil concern but the market is still long and I'm quite certain we'll improve our midfield

Re: Jackson Martinez
i would look to sign one of them to be honest.
Isco
Pjanic
Eriksen
and more the on the defensive side of midfield, Javi Martinez , maybe Nainggolan if Roma fails to get him , though i think they will anyhow .
Given that Kondogbia seems to be at least one of the midfielders we are after , well , if we got just 1 of them our midfield will be scary next season , no matter what we play .
Tbh , i really doubt we will be getting Ibrahimovic back . Don't know what will happen there , but if we don't eventually get Ibra. Then i would be all in for 4-2-3-1 really .
and if Ibra comes..
whatever happens , i think J. Martinez lad will do very well

Re: Jackson Martinez
I think Eriksen would be the more realistic target if we went after him. Then add Kondogbia and Bertolacci and we have a formidable midfield with enough quality and depth to challenge for the scudetto

Please get Eriksen away from Tottenham. Can't stand watching him play there.

Re: Jackson Martinez
Great to see us spending money. Even if Martinez isn't necessarily a perfect signing, its a good start.
As for Dantes post, Isco is pure fantasy IMO and I won't even allow myself to think about that, as that's just asking to be disappointed. Of Eriksen and Pjanic, I personally prefer Eriksen, even if some may disagree, what with Pjanic bring proven in Serie A and whatnot. If we can sign a CB, a FB, Kondogbia, and a creative CM like Eriksen, I'll be delighted with our Mercato and have high hopes for next season.
In any case, it looks like we are finally back in the transfer market, and it is very good to see.
