It does make for a nice change, I wonder if this means Ancelotti is bringing his famous 3 man midfield to Real Madrid.

Isco, Modric, Khedira, Casemiro, Xabi Alonso and Illarramendi, that sure is a lot of midfielders....

Was the story about Lewandowski written after Lewandowski and Perez said we weren't interested?. I'm not saying Lewandowski didn't want Bayern more than he wanted us - but anyone who can add 2 + 2 can write that article.

I don't think people understand what Perez does anyway ; if he's talking to Lewandowski it doesn't mean we have to sign him tomorrow...or even at all. Perez cultivates relationships with players he likes, it comes in handy at a later date.

So he wants playing time for the WC, and is going to a team where he will be the back to the back up. He would of been better off picking Man Utd

Pep's allure makes players not think rationally

I wish I could find the article, but when Pep was announced as Bayern manager....Pep made a comment he wouldn't go for any Barca players and also Thiago himself said in an interview that he had no reason to go to Bayern as he was already at a big club or something along those lines. How quickly things change

If Javi drops back into defense it makes some sense. There would be 3 starting center backs (Boateng, Javi, Dante) and one emergency (Van Buyten). Then there would be 3 players for the two center mid roles (Gustavo, Thiago, Schweinsteiger) and two reserves (Hojbjerg, Can). Then there would be the free-for-all between Goetze, Mueller, Kroos, Ribery, Robben, Shaqiri, Mandzukic, and Pizarro for the front four spots.

The only person ahead of him in the pecking order at Barca is Xavi. And he is going to be 34 before the end of the season. People who make the comment that Cesc is also ahead of him are wrong, as I can't remember when was the last time Cesc played Xavi's role. Cesc rotates with Iniesta. So really, he could still get a good amount of playing time with us this season and gradually take over the role. Only Man Utd can offer him more minutes but will be working with a less partnership in the midfield than he would ever have with us. Plus he gets to learn from one of the best midfeld duos of all time with us. He isn't going to learn jack shit from Cleverly and Carrick lol. And he is not going to bench Schwei of all people and Javi and Gustavo are likely ahead of him in the order and are all young. So theres no near window of him over taken the starting spot from any of them.....if he goes to Bayern it would be just to work with Pep.

I think at this point Thiago got all this attention and probably now feels as it's the right thing to do is to leave with all these suitors reaching out to him. But he should of picked Utd over Bayern if he HAS to leave. He is going to play even less than he did with us at Bayern

Javi isnt going to be one of the main CB options with Boateng,Dante,Badstuber and Van Buyten all at the club.

also, the double pivot will be Schweinsteiger-Javi, thats the most certain thing about their lineup alongside Neuer and Ribery starting

that's €2 million euros less then what United have reportedly offfered, plus more competition in midfield...

the apparent source for all this is based in Madrid as well
