Would be fun designing your own movie/tv show. I know my genre would definitely be thriller/crime/suspense etc related.

I've had some ideas for a while, and always had a love for writing that I never fully indulged. Me and a friend are going to try our hand at some in our spare time. After I do some homework and stuff regarding structure. Just for fun. Just wondering if anybody else did so?
I have A LOT of film/tv shows ideas in my head that I keep running whenever I am free or travelling. Shame there is nothing I can do about them though

I'm gonna post some of mine tomorrow if I can. Would require an enormous budget for my imaginations to come true.

Re: The Movie House - Part 3
Just watched Her and...ugh, I'm a bit speechless.
I don't want to say anything knee-jerk because of the fact that I just watched and loved it, but I really want to say this is one of the best films I've seen in years, or at least one of my favorites.
Brilliant film. Joaquin Phoenix and Scarlett Johansson are immense. Spike Jonze did a fantastic job directing and the screenplay deserved the Golden Globe and, for me, an Oscar too.
Easily my favorite film of the year. I have some more to watch yet, but I highly doubt I'll like anything more.

Re: The Movie House - Part 3
So I watched Wolf of Wall Street today and I enjoyed it...it was pretty damn funny, with great acting.
But maybe I'm in the minority, I didn't see anything overwhelmingly special. I thought Her was twice the movie. I thought 12 Years a Slave was a lot better, too. I mean don't get me wrong I laughed my ass off and I really did enjoy it, but I'm not seeing what makes it a contender for movie of the year. I'm not sure DiCaprio's performance was any better than Joaquin's, either.

Re: The Movie House - Part 3
Watched quite a few recent releases. 12 years a slave was by far the best, only one that really moved me emotionally, and only movie that I've seen for a while that actually felt as though it was really worth paying to see. Well done

Nobody else even stands a chance at the Oscars ffs
McConaughey and Jared Leto are sure winners. That was ridiculous.
Movie itself I'll give around 8.5/10

Watched Desolation of Smaug, Evangeline Lily
Same as Unexpected Journey I'd rank it around 8/10. Brings back nostalgia of Lord of the Rings which is one of the main reasons I enjoy 3 hours of this but never in a million years comes close to the LOTR trilogy. Otherwise Martin Freeman and Orlando Bloom are always fun to watch.

Re: The Movie House - Part 3
You've probably never seen Lost, so you don't know why I'm in love with her
Also 8.8 is too high for me, that's closer to what I would rank the LOTR trilogy films.

Re: The Movie House - Part 3
I rated it 4/10, watched it due to boredom..I liked the LOTR trilogy when I was younger but I'm not really feeling the hobbit movies, this sequel felt almost unnecessary, was far too boring to be made as its own movie. Should have just extended the first and third movies an hour or something.

The first movie was already almost 3 hours iirc and the 3rd is likely to be about the same, I'm sure.

Re: The Movie House - Part 3
They're obviously just milking this for cash. The Hobbit book itself was like 300 pages.
There's no way you need 9 hours of film and 3 parts to make that.

I agree.
But I'm not complaining, I'm the person they are milking money from.
