I loved the Desolation Of Smaug. An Unexpected Journey was good too.

Wait, you read the Hobbit, but not the trilogy

Next you're going to tell me Jar Jar Binks was your favorite Star Wars character :coffee:

I'm going to read the trilogy lol, I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I just started the Steinbeck book you recommended to me, East of Eden. This is hardly the place to discuss that though, unless you'd like to talk about the James Dean film Very Happy

Is it actually a good film though? Or is it just receiving hype because it deals with horrific subject matter in an unapologetically brutal and explicit way?

Yeah it is a good film. The acting is superb, especially Fassbender.

It's no secret that Jonah Hill really, really wanted the part of Azoff in Martin Scorsese's three-hour pop opera of decadence and debauchery, and part of Hill's passionate lobbying for the role included taking a considerable pay cut: the actor received only $60,000 for the seven-month shoot, as revealed by Hill himself on "The Howard Stern Show.

That's just a little bit less than co-star Leonardo DiCaprio's salary (wink, wink). He got $10 million for the Oscar-nominated film, according to StatisticBrain.com … though, to be fair, that made for a 50 percent pay cut from Leo's $20 million payday for "The Great Gatsby."

Watched this on Netflix. Haven't seen it in years. Forgot just how utterly creepy this movie is.

Powerful film. Some scenes and the language are very disturbing though. Made me question how cold blooded so called human beings were back then.

Got around to watching Days of Thunder last night on Netflix. The last Tom Cruise golden age movie that I hadn't seen.

It was a NASCAR-themed Top Gun Laughing

Kelly McGillis>>>>>Nicole Kidman

Robert Duvall was really good though and I now I know why it was such an interesting thing that John C. Reilly went on to do Talladega Nights.
