Nigel Boogaard will move to Newcastle at the end of the season.

Strange move, imo. He has been Utd's best CB at times.

I'm annoyed that we lost Ferreira though. He was a high quality player. I hope that Palanca can do a good job, but it will be difficult to fill his predecessor's boots.

Been meaning to post about Adelaide Utd for a while.

They are in obvious need of a CM and will need a new CB for next season. Perhaps a proper back up to Djite, too.

With Carrusca out, Adelaide lack a solid passing CM to replace him (minus Isaias who is more of a DM/DLP) I am sure Josep can find someone.

CB is obvious with Nigel Boogaard leaving, and I'd like a proper CF to come on for Bruce, Cirio and Sanchez are not the answer there Laughing

Palanca has also been underwhelming too. I can't believe we let Ferriera go - that was definitely not a good move. I'm still not sure whether Jeggo is good enough either.

There are some big gaps there. If we don't buy anyone the team will look like this:

Cirio - Djite - Mabil
Jeggo - Isaias - Carrusca
Elrich - Malik - McGowan - Marrone
Galekovic

I think Djite is fine as a starter, I'm not sure we can really afford to get someone better.

I agree Palanca has been average, Jeggo is fine as a sub, he gets around a lot, but doesn't have the vision to make great passes.

He's a midfielder, not a CB. Can he play CB?

So, Sydney FC have now released 12 players from last season.

Names:

Their squad now only consists of 15 senior players.

Jeez, that is a massive overhaul, you have to wonder if it will benefit them or backfire?
