FF games don't really require multiple playthougs since you can always go back to wherever and collect something. I don't even think they ever had NG+ on them

Doubt it will take you that long RG lol, pretty sure all of us had Witcher 3 beat within 6 weeks.

TW3 is probably the longest single player game ever for me, think I took me 3-4 weeks and it felt like I was playing all day every day, but IIRC I clocked in at 60-75 hours. I finished basically everything in the main game except a few ? on the skellige islands. Will be shocked if FF15 is 75% that long.

FF games are usually huge because of how big the world is and how many things there are to do. Main quest, side quests, mini games, exploration, finding secrets and finding whichever version of abilities they decide to use and to upgrade them all.

Most obviously only play main + side but if you are going to do everything then it will easily be over 50 hours.

Average play time for FF8 was 65 hours with 112 hours for Completionists. FF7 60 hours on average.

FF10 was 87 hours on average while 181 hours for Completionists.

I don't know if it will be this long for 15 but it would be around 60-70 hours easily.

btw saw a thread on Neogaf for this game yesterday



semi related because the guy making it said he decided to do it after being inspired by FF15 (as you can probably tell) been working on it completely alone for 2 years and only doing it as a passion project so it's still in the alpha stage (and probably won't ever be finished he said) had barely any views or twitter followers before yesterday

from a gameplay point of view it looks cool lol, insane that only 1 guy was working on it, said he used a bunch of assets you can buy for background on the UE4 engine marketplace though, square enix should hire the lad

lad got picked up by Sony, working with them + other devs on the game now, gonna be a timed exclusive for PS4. Pretty cool.

Well, for now it's not a massive difference but they are trying to phase out ps4 slowly. In about 2-3 years I won't be surprised if Pro is the only console they prioritise.

Not FF obviously, but gives you an idea of the differences. I don't think it personally makes much big of a difference for me personally to get one right now.

But considering the minimal difference in price for those who haven't got a PS4 yet it makes sense to wait for the Pro really.
