Finished Final Fantasy XV: The Phantom Pain.

Holy shit how rushed was the 2nd half of the story. I wish we spent time in Dark Lucis and got to see the rebellion full hand, especially Iris The Daemon Slayer.

Once you realise that 90% of the stuff was irrelevant. You can skip most of the game and it won't matter. You can rush and it won't matter. You don't lose anything. They made the game to make everyone a winner in the end.

yeah, after a week (once I got over the emotionally maniuplative ending that kinda helps mask the shortcomings immediately) my opinion of the game took a nosedive.

I don't regret playing it, I just regret it wasn't 1/4 as good as it could have been with the groundwork they laid, could have been so good with better story focus throughout instead of cramming it into the end

The early footage and trailers for FF XV looked so much more interesting than the final product. I even bought the season pass. I've played all of the DLC up until this point, and they have only been marginally more interesting than the base game, in my opinion, which leads me to believe that Tabata probably wouldn't have been able to save the game even if he had all of the time in the world to oversee it's development process.

Think the series is finished for good. Every FF fan knows it inside. The fact people are more excited for FF7 remake and FF12 remaster says it all.

It was so blatantly unfinished lol. The DLC baiting was annoying too. The game had a skeleton of a story, the thing was the bare bones of it is really good. If they did not rush it it would have been one of the best games of this gen easily.

Tomb Raider is the only franchise that Square Enix did not *bleep* up yet. Final Fantasy, Sleeping Dogs, Hitman, Deus Ex, seriously *bleep* that company. They are miles worse than Ubisoft and EA.

In sense of quality yea. But I suppose the good news is that the next FF game will actually be started now and not 10 years ago lol.

Let's see how it plays out. Probably will be 2020 tho.

Its Square Enix, they'll force them to split the game in two and release important story missions in DLC.

Apparently first part of the game would have been the Imperials attacking Insominia and Noctis escaping. They had to cut it and they decided to release Kingsglaive instead

It was a *bleep* up development cycle, could have been amazing. To say its dead its far too early imo. The new ff14 expansion got crazy good reception and the ff12 remake looks great. They just need to make sure that ff7 and ff16 come through.

Has anyone played type-0? Heard great things and just got it now on sale for cheap. Will play next month when I'm back home.

Wasn't that just a tech demo? like when they did the tech demo of ff7 on the ps3 or ff8 on the ps2.

Definitely plan to play it sometime this year, just still burnt out from playing lots of lengthy games back to back

might actually play 10 first though
