Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.IV
It's not purely on the right. He and Isco would be coming in and interchanging with the fullbacks providing width.
Plus I think Ozil offers more when he plays on the right at Real Madrid, since he comes a bit deeper, although that was under Mourinho.
Anyway I think it'll work.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.IV
Problem here is that both Ozil/Isco play best either attacking midfield role or on the left. Ronaldo plays on the left, and won't move. That means they plan on moving one of Ozil/Isco to the right. Reminds me of when Mourinho got Croentrao and we all know how that worked out. Isco would of probably fit in better at City with Pellegrini, but we'll see he could work out fine at Real.
This move actually pleases me, Tiki-Taka has proved to not work against Barca, as well as players who play the a Tiki-Taka type style seem to fail when playing us. Taking away the blistering speed of Di-Maria to add Isco actually gives me more confidence. Big, strong, fast technical players have proved to be our venom, and Isco is none of that. Hope he doesnt prove me wrong

Liverpool willing to trigger Tello's 10m Euros buyout clause, however Tello wants to stay at Barca, according to Sport.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.IV
Isco has been at his best when he's played on the wing for Spain U21s and Malaga.
Like Cazorla in that respect he's much coming from outside to inside into little pockets of space not getting pick up.
Where as while he's still great in the middle he's not a 10 who dictates like a general he's much better at roaming.
If Madrid are keeping the same system they would be smart to just put him in place of Di Maria and leave the rest of the front 4 as is.
Width won't matter a great deal if you have Caravan and Mehcelo.

Don't mind the same formation, but hopefully not the same system.

Gil wrote:Watt about Suso how are they going to fit all these players in he same team? You can't develop these players at the same time.
Suso, Suarez, Alberto, Sterlinhg, Coutinho, Suarez, Sturridge, Aspas, Aryan etc
Or does that logic only apply to Chelsea?
Rodgers has already made it pretty clear that he would like to see some of the youngsters leave on loan to get more consistent game-time and that Sterling and Suso only saw as much game time as they did last season due to an incredible lack of depth in the forward areas. Realistically, if we want to compete for a top 4 place (which is the current goal) then relying on ANY of Sterling, Suso, Ibe, Yesil, Morgan, or Luis Alberto as consistent first team players or even starters (as we saw last season) is a situation we'll want to avoid. Expect one or more of Suso, Sterling, Ibe, Ngoo, and Morgan to be loaned out to a promoted side or a Championship side (in the case of Morgan, Ibe, Ngoo) while Yesil is still recovering from an ACL injury. That leaves Suarez (assuming he stays, long shot), Aspas, Sturridge, and Borini as 4 players competing for 3 forward roles while Coutinho and Mkhitaryan (if he joins) either competing for a CAM place or playing together in an altered formation. Each offers
That's 6 players for 4 or 5 spaces, depending on formation; with an added handful (2 to 4) U21 players acting as added depth in the case of an emergency. That's not terribly overpopulated for a modern football squad.
Dear god they're actually writing stories based on random tweets now?Yohan Modric wrote:A Tweet posted at midday on Saturday by Arsenal fan @ninaafc has immediately picked up over 700 retweets as it concerned the Gunners’ potential signing of Marouane Fellaini from Everton.
Yiasoumi found herself partying with Marouane Fellaini and Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta in Spain last night, and she used the opportunity to ask the Evertonian if he is indeed moving down south.
Fellaini’s response: “I hope so”.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.IV
Southampton appear to be close to pulling off a real coup – the signing of Victor Wanyama from Celtic for just 12.5 million pounds.
The back page of Scotland on Sunday says Wanyama spent Saturday in talks with Southampton on what would be a record fee secured by a Scottish club.

Almost think he's too good to be a back-up in general, really. He's also got a loooooong contract with Southampton.McAgger wrote:Schneiderlin would be a great Lucas back up

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.IV
Monreal wrote:Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal believes Malaga star Isco has finalised a deal to join Real Madrid.
The young attacker is the subject of a transfer tug-of-war between los Blancos and Manuel Pellegrini's Manchester City, with both teams vying for his signature to rebuild following failed title bids.
And Monreal, who played alongside Isco between 2011 to 2013 at La Rosaleda, says his compatriot has snubbed Pellegrini's approaches for a move to the Bernabeu.
"Isco has succeeded wherever he has gone. I believe he has already signed for Real Madrid and I'm sure he'll do very well because he is a great player," the 27-year-old told Marca.
"He may cost them, but together they will have opportunities and they will seize them."
A likely victim of los Blancos' revolution will be Gonzalo Higuain who has been tipped to join Arsenal this summer, with Monreal welcoming the striker to the Emirates with open arms.
"I would love it. Higuain is a part of football, and I always loved how he played for Real Madrid. He is a scorer and would be a reinforcement that we could really use," he continued.
"Arsenal are one of the biggest teams in England and this summer they are working towards good signings to break that [trophy-less] streak."
Despite not being a permanent fixture under former coach Jose Mourinho, Higuain still scored 16 goals in 28 Liga appearances as Madrid finished second last term.
The Argentine's goal record is also understood to have made him a target of Juventus.

Mundo Deportivo are reporting that a deal for Borussia Mönchengladbach goalkeeper Marc-André Ter Stegen (21) is nearing conclusion and could be announced next week.
The young German keeper would continue at his current club on loan for another year, while Victor Valdés sees out the remainder of his contract.

I'm not convinced with ter Stegen tbh. Whenever he plays for Germany he looks utterly unconvincing? Mental issues? How will he handle Barcelona then?

Couldn't handle the pressure of jermaine jones and USA, how will he fare against Madrid...
Although that's the first game I've seen, nothing screamed to watch him again.
I Shouldn't rate him off one game but I am.

With the coach in place, PSG's main 3 targets for the summer are Digne, Cavani and Luiz. Blanc is said to be a big fan of Luiz and feels he can mold him into a great defender.
More and more, it looks like Sakho is out.
Gamerio, Tiene, Chantome and Sakho are all expected to be sold. That means PSG are also looking for a CM.
Blanc will only make 3-4 mil, which will be covered by the fee Madrid will pay for Carlo. Also, Madrid agreed to play 2 friendlies with PSG where most of the revenue would go to PSG... so the 60 mil net transfer budget probably got increased to 80-90 mil with the savings on Carlo wage and the extra revenue.

If you really get Marc-André ter Stegen, you will get a very good young keeper who was thrown into the cold water at Mönchengladbach when he was but 18 years of age and who was one of the big reasons they didn't get relegated in that season.
To quote a post of mine from February 2012:
Before Marc-André ter Stegen guarded the goal of Borussia Mönchengladbach, they conceded an average of 2.21 (62/28) goals against per match in the Bundesliga season 2010/11. Right after Favre selected ter Stegen as GK, they only got 0.5 (3/6) goals against them in the remaining 6 matches of the last season.
Here: http://www.goallegacy.net/t304p54-german-goalkeeper-appreciation-thread#462089
I wouldn't put his somewhat unlucky showings for the NT against him - he usually did a good job during the normal bread and butter business in the Bundesliga. The USA match was played with a really wild line-up that never played together before and never will do so again in future. In the Argentina match, he was subbed in after Zieler got sent off and saved a penalty shot by Messi when he was still cold. Against the other 3 goals (including a Khedira own goal) he couldn't do anything. (And over the Switzerland game we rather pull the mantle of silence - that was a collective failure of the whole team.)

Barcelona would give 15mil for ter Stegen and loan his to Gladbach for year - I agree with this option. Beneficial for both clubs.

Madrid are not small, i would say that i am a bit anti-madridista although no one knows where his future will be. But it is a team that i never liked. I get the impression that it is a club who are filled with arrogant players. Without humility you can't get anywhere.

Pretty sure he thought those comments would help him get to the first team sooner, than if he had said he liked Real. Since Valencia is not the biggest fans of Real Madrid
