Roma sell Tachtsidis to Genoa

Roma have sold midfielder Panagiotis Tachtsidis to Genoa, while Italy Under-21 international Andrea Bertolacci renews his co-ownership.

Tachtsidis was a controversial figure this season, as he was brought in on the specific request of Coach Zdenek Zeman, who often used the Greek player instead of fan favourite Daniele De Rossi.

When Zeman was fired in February, Tachtsidis fell off the radar of the first team, so Roma have now agreed to sell their 50 per cent of his contract back to Genoa.

On the other hand, Roma youth product Bertolacci will stay on in Genoa for one more season after renewing his co-ownership status.

The Lupi announced several different deals with Pescara, bringing back Gianluca Caprari and sending Gianmario Piscitella and Federico Viviani to the Delfini.

Valerio Verre returns to the Olimpico base after his spell with Siena.

It's his release clause. Shakhtar are rich already, so they won't negotiate lower price.

You're the first person on the forum I've heard talk negatively about him as a player... Everyone else has debated the price, but agreed he's a quality player and looked good in CL matches. Do you watch the Ukrainian league, and if you do can you enlighten us as to why you think he's a nobody? I'd love to hear some more input on our newest signing since I've only really seen youtube compilations.

According to reports from Italian newspaper Il Mattino, Real Madrid have tabled a formal offer for Cavani’s services. The offer consist sof 35 million euros plus the transfer of Sami Khedira to Napoli as part of the deal.

Mkhitaryan:

The Reds remain confident of completing a £9m deal for Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet and, as revealed in the ECHO on Thursday, are leading the race for FC Porto's Ghanaian winger Christian Atsu.

Papa:
Their bid to sign Schalke defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos, however, is over. The Reds' interest in the Greek international has cooled after initial negotiations with the German club proved fruitless.

Liverpool rate Papadopoulos, and value him at around £12m, but Schalke's insistence on a deal worth around £20m means the deal is no longer an option, with Rodgers now set to pursue other central defensive targets. Ajax's Toby Alderweireld is a potential option.

So the move for Papadopoulos is off and we're already well behind in the pursuit of Alderweireld... I wonder who Rodgers' third choice CB signing is. No deal has been agreed for Mkhitaryan, Mignolet, or Illori though negotiations are ongoing. The Atsu links appear to be legitimate as well.
