Fiorentina are preparing to finally launch an official bid for Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez.

Gomez, who has already stated he would be open to joining the Viola, is available as Bayern look to add a new striker to the team this summer.

Some reports out of Italy suggest that the player may have already agreed to personal terms with the Fiorentina.

However, the player’s agent Uli Ferber told Sport1 in an interview that the reports of personal terms being agreed are not accurate.

“That’s not true,” Ferber stated.

“But one thing is for sure – he will only go to a club where he will be a first-choice striker.”

The purchase of the German international, however, is dependant on the possible sale of Stevan Jovetic. Juventus are in pole position for Jovetic, but have thus far have balked at Fiorentina’s €30 million asking price.

I've not seen him play since he's made very few La Liga appearances, but last year he scored 11 and assisted 18 times for Barcelona B. Quite a few Sevilla fans disappointed that the club are willing to sell.

I imagine Money isn't a big motivator for AVB right now...Chelsea are still paying him...unless they gave him a lump sum when they sacked him...either way I'm sure he don't need more money...he seems like a man of integrity anyway....unlike that current guy at Chelsea :coffee:

He plays deeper. From what I understand Alberto is more of an AM.

Welsh Xavi needs to worry about Lucas......but honestly, if he can find a form anywhere near his form for the first 2 months, then it'd be great. Hope that shoulder surgery has sorted out his body.

BBC reporting we are close to Mkhitaryan. Should sell Suarez soon too, so we can get his replacement as well. I hate last minute deals.

Fixture list is out on monday....hope we get a good set of starting fixtures.

No. This is how I see it.

Downing will be displaced by Mkhitaryan
Shelvey by Alberto (in the squad)
Aspas as new added depth replacing Carroll in the squad.

Now if Suarez stays fine. If he goes, he'll be replaced by another one.

Giving us attacking options of Sturridge, Coutinho, Alberto, Aspas, Mkhitaryan, Borini, Henderson, Suarez/Replacement. Which is decent depth for a FRONT 4 attacking because Lucas-Gerrard are locked for the middle 2.

I think we'll play a floating 4-2-2-2 next season with Mikhtaryan as RAM, and Coutinho as LAM.

Unless they paid him a lump sum before he accepted the Spurs job... which i never heard he did.

Regardless, PSG have a better roster, play CL competitively and.... are not the spurs Laughing

Getting paid 3x more to go to a better club is very attractive for anyone i would think.

The agent of Udinese defender Danilo has stated that Inter are interested in signing his client this summer.

The 29-year-old has impressed for the Friulani since joining from Palmeiras in 2011.

As a result Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting that the Zebrette want €7 million for his services, with Inter leading the way for his signature according to his agent.

“I know of Inter’s interest, the player has been requested in several transfer windows,” Marcio Rivellino told fcinternews.it.

“But in the end it is Udinese who has the final word and nothing has ever come of it. He is already 29 but he has had some great seasons.

“If a big club were to make an advance we would listen to their request. At the end of the day it is up to the club to make a valuation.

“We are happy to hear of the interest of a big club like Inter. Danilo deserves it.”

That's some incredible depth if Suarez stays. Probably need a proper winger though. Can't rely on Enrique for width and Johnson's crossing has gone to shit over the past few months.

Hasn't Downing been decent since the turn of the year though? Would be surprised if he's sold.

Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva has admitted that it is logical to discuss a potential to a move to Catalan giants Barcelona during the upcoming transfer window.

Besiktas have shown interest in signing AC Milan duo Kevin-Prince Boateng and Taye Taiwo.

The push is being led by presidential candidate Serdal Adali, who has promised to spend upwards of €100 million in the upcoming transfer market.

As a result, Tuttomercatoweb are reporting that the Rossoneri have been contacted regarding the availability of Boateng and Taiwo.

Both players have been linked with moves away from the Milan club, with Taiwo already having spent last season in Ukraine with Dynamo Kiev.

Along with the Milan duo, Besiktas have also been linked with moves for Anzhi star Samuel Eto’o and Russian coach Fabio Capello.

I think it's much more likely that Aspas has been signed to play in the wing and will replace Downing in the starting XI.

Giuseppe Bozzo, the agent of Alberto Gilardino, has opened up on the possibility of a swap between Inter and Genoa involving Alberto Gilardino and Ezequiel Schelotto.

Gilardino, currently owned by Genoa, played on loan at Bologna in the 2012-2013 season and his performances has recently linked him to a move to the Beneamata.

Meanwhile, Schelotto received very little playing time at Inter this past season and questions have been raised whether he fits into new coach Walter Mazzarri’s plans.

“That is a possibility and we have the time to turn that into something more,” said Bozzo.

If the swap occurs, this would be a return to the San Siro for Gilardino who played for cross-town rivals AC Milan from 2005-2008.
