Navas:"We've been talking with Manchester City for four months. The decision is taken."

"There had been rumours (about Real Madrid), but Manchester City were in from the start and I had decided some time ago. It's a good project and it was the moment to make the step."

"The Premier League is a competition where the football is very fast. I'm really looking forward to it. Manchester City are making a great team.

"I'm going from Sevilla, which is a very nice place, and I'm going to a great club in England.

"It was my choice. I'm very happy with the decision. I wanted to continue growing there and they've put a lot of faith in me and I want to continue doing well there.

"It's difficult because I've spent many years enjoying playing in front of these fans but I've made my decision, I wanted to go there. It's a good step for me and I never had any hesitation.

"I want to thank the (Sevilla) fans and the club for all that they've given me."

Honestly if nothing concrete comes out on June 9th(Sunday) which is when Juve officials will meet Madrid again as they will be present for a friendly game on that day b/w the two(legends is it ?) then we arent getting Higuain simple as that.

All of them are inferior to Navas as a winger . He had the most assist out of Top 2 last year. Amazing player and will be vital in City's PL win next season.

You're insane.

Mata and Hazard are both far better wingers.

Oscar played out wide for 3/4ths of the season and still out scored him by 12 and finished the year with 9 assists, more than Navas' final tally.

42 starts in only his first season and he isn't a starter? LOL

The rest I'm not even going to answer.

Navas had 6 league assists last year. 15 players(non barca madrid) had more than him.

One of the reason PL teams adjusted to Chelsea easily was bcz they played very narrow. You cant have every one crashing the center and get away with it.

I said last year...not this season.

He had 12 and closest one was Cazorla with 11 i think.

He is far far superior to Lennon. He creates more chances in one season than Lennon can manage in his career.

It's True navas isn't the player he was 2 years ago but that should change with a change in his career. We will see(if adapted) a navas of the old, i am sure

Why would you rate Navas' performance of last year instead of this ?

Yea, that's why i think He will be an excellent signing for City. Pellegrini likes his width. Navas will do what Joaquin did at Malaga.

One of the reason PL teams adjusted to Chelsea easily was bcz they played very narrow. You cant have every one crashing the center and get away with it.

Mata was a winger up until the 10-11 season when Silva left for City. He played half the season out wide under AVB before switching to AM. Started the previous season as a RW under RDM and his best form of the season came there before FSW switched positions between him and Oscar for the remainder of the year.

Hazard has always been a winger, just because he's not a one-dimensional scrub like Navas doesn't mean he isn't. His best position has always been out wide and apart from a few games under Garcia at Lille he has pretty much always primarily operated there.

We struggled because we have a shit midfield, shocking defense and no reliable striker. Nothing to do with width.

Why cant i ? You dont judge players only based on their last season alone, its stupid . he has not declined after 1 year has he ? ...btw i highlighted that season bcz i watched lot of Seville matches that season.

Leighton Baines created the most chances in open play in PL this season and before that it used to be Malouda. Means f*** all.

Any player who puts in a ton of crosses will always score high in that category on Opta/Whoscored.

you have no idea what it means to be a winger, just like MT. playing in a wide position doesnt make one a winger

So apparently a striker who scores goals is a donkey and a winger who consistently puts in good delivery for his team mates is shit.

Always good for a laugh Gil even when i'm coughing my lungs out Laughing

Football evolves. Is Mata a traditional winger that stays on the byline and puts in inaccurate crosses when he's given space? No.

But 10-15 years ago defensive midfielders weren't required to do anything but defend, strikers were hardly ever involved in the build up play and every manager and its dog played a 4-4-2 formation.

Don't make me have to call Clockwork Orange ffs!
