lol, no it won't. there's a huge demand for DS2 on PS4/X1. The same way GTA 5 wasn't announced outright for next gen before it came out..they don't want it to affect sales, they'll milk it for everything it's worth. Expect an announcement a month after release. It's free money. They're already aiming to release it for PC the same month, they'll just port that version for PS4/X1.
I doubt GTA 5 will come on next gen. It will probably come to Playstation Now. There's a good chance of Dark Souls 2 but they could have released current gen and next gen together like Assassins's Creed IV, Watch Dogs, Thief, Titanfall etc. Why release next gen version later?

Re: General Games Discussion Thread
Because free money. They can milk the current gen users and people will probably double dip on next gen versions later, plus they aren't some huge company that has unlimited funds like Ubisoft. FromSoft only released Dark Souls on PC because they had a petition for it..of course it's coming to next gen. GTA 5 is 100000000% coming to next gen. I'm pretty sure Playstation Now will only feature Sony's first part games, from what I've read? and it won't launch worldwide until next year at the earliest, and probably 25% of the user base will be able to use it due to internet speed demands. GTA 5 will be here by the summer IMO.
All the games will just be PC ports anyway, like the Next Gen Tomb Raider they're releasing. Most of these games were in development for a couple of years before next gen consoles were even announced.

Re: General Games Discussion Thread
Hearing Konami just stated PES 2015 will come only to ps4
From a Japanese developer standpoint I can understand why they only invest in the ps4 for a next gen version.

I really doubt that PES 15 won't come in Xbox One.
Some guy in twitter asked Konami ''Will we see PES 15 in PS3?' and he replied 'No, but you will see it on the PS4' That's how the rumour started.

Re: General Games Discussion Thread
Well its just weird because they were questioned about an x1 version and said 'we have no comment at this time' etc, yet confirmed a ps4 version.
like l said l expect this sort of thing to happen a lot this gen unless microsoft goes out of their way to sway Japanese developers to make games for their system they might not see it being worth the investment. We saw this with the ps2, very few Japanese devs even bothered investing the resources unless co-orsed to do otherwise. l know a lot of things have changed since then, but well see.
Theres also other reasons why this might make sense. Right now for reasons whether its just or not PES is living in Fifa's shadow. Perhaps making just an exclusive next gen version for the ps4 will help it garner some extra attention.

Dear Hitman fans,
We wanted to share this open letter with all of you out there eagerly awaiting more news about what’s happening next in the franchise.
At Io-Interactive right now, we are building the next AAA Hitman game for PC and next-gen consoles. It has our total focus and we wanted to take a moment to tell you a few things about it.
In the next game you will experience a globetrotting Agent 47 at the prime of his career – the apex predator stalking his prey across the world, with the support of his long-term handler Diana Burnwood and the whole of the ICA.
The game concentrates on the core Hitman fantasy of using a wide range of tools to take out a diverse group of targets across expansive, exotic locations around the world. We are building this game on the backbone of the Glacier 2 engine, using the best parts and what we have learnt through Hitman: Absolution and drawing inspiration from past titles like Contracts and Blood Money to fulfil the core Hitman fantasy. That means we’re packing in an extreme level of detail on the largest levels we have ever built for a Hitman game. We’ve adopted an open, non-linear level design approach to the game, ensuring the game will play out across huge, checkpoint-free, sandbox levels. Our aim is to create living, breathing and believable levels which will allow gamers to play around with the AI to create those unique moments every fan of the Hitman franchise loves.
Contracts Mode is back – you will be able to create and build challenges by experimenting with the large levels and possibilities within them. And of course, you can share them with the world and challenge your friends or foes to complete your hits. Your rules, your Contracts.
You will also be glad to hear that we have removed 47’s magic pockets. We believe that’s all we need to say about that subject.
As we get further into 2014, we will reveal more and get into much closer contact with all of you. There are so many things we have planned and we are extremely excited for the future of Hitman.
Thank you all for your dedication. We will share much, much more in the coming months.

Absoltion was very different, I enjoyed it but it was nowhere near Silent Assassin, Contracts and Blood Money. This new one sounds more like these two

Re: General Games Discussion Thread
So I've been fooling around with Skyrim on my PC these past few days.

I wish I could wipe my memory and replay this game from the start.

I'm suffering from lack of good games. 2013 was so good in term of gaming, i'm not sure 2014 will be the same.
