better of staying at lyon and not sell his soul
waaaaat? his soul will be intact, it's Lyon who gave him the finger first when they wanted to trade him with freaking Monzon?
if i was him, i would take the money and go to a team that has massive aspiration in the league. he will be surrounded by good players, and Falcao will run routes for him.
@Sports, i know the kid is legit, playing with an elite CF that makes perfect runs and movements ahead of him will just help him and make him look better. Servicing Gomis all year is not a fun thing

And lets be honest, these Thiago rumors dont sound that off
As far as I know 'Sport' are very reliable when it comes to Barca news, they got Song to Barca first aswell. Dunno about Mundo.
Sport are very reliable, MD not so much.

thiago will not play for mourinho lol, if anything, he will go to city where there is a full barca personel and spanish contingent waiting for him. Bayern have a chance too but he wont get same pampering as in CityAbramovich wrote:Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Seems relevant....

Its a 4-2-2-2 in the similar vein of City with fullbacks providing width.
Nah 4-2-2-2 would be under appreciating the formation arsene has implemented.
It's just a hybrid of 4-4-2 and 4-3-3.

I wish we could play like that with Isco and Ozil in our midfield, CR and Benz/Suarez in attack, deadly stuff.
and yes i would take the biter

True but saying 4-2-2-2 is a lot easier

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.II
We play 4-2-2-2, just a lopsided variant of it where the RAM is a CAM and one of the strikers is a RF.
Regardless, we don't need Grenier unless we're ditching strikers all together next season.
At the very least, it'd make more sense than us signing Cesc.

City played some great stuff the season they won the title its undeniable tbh.
Its just what they do takes extremely high concentration and Mancini couldn't get them to maintain it.

Perfect stand by our management. Tired of getting bullied in the market. If you want to talk in definitive terms, well this is as clear as they come. Basically saying, if you want Suarez, you have to meet our valuation of him or you can take a hike.

sportsczy wrote:The thing is Stevie... EPL valuation and market valuations are massively different. He wants to leave England, so UK clubs are out of the question.
That said, I don't want him to come to Madrid because i think he's a punk and he brings nothing we need. But for liverpool, He could easily turn into another Tevez given his mentality, which is basically cash his checks and pout until he gets what he wants. Liverpool could sit back and hope he doesn't go crazy on them (big risk given all his antics) or they can get ahead of the curve and try to sell him.
On the European market, he's worth €30 mil because PSG has Ibra, Monaco has Falcao and Bayern are getting Lewandowski. Barca already spent their budget. Juve and Madrid are the only players for him out there. Looks like Juve are moving away from Higuain and close to Jovetic. That leaves Madrid... so will Madrid sell Higuain to someone for €30 mil and pay more for Suarez? Highly unlikely.
Just a bad situation that Suarez created for Liverpool.
You're not understanding what I'm saying. Players have value aside from what they fetch you in the transfer market. We're not a team right now that can easily replace a player like Suarez in the transfer market - it would take both a lot of money and some luck. A year from now, we might be.
Lets try a hypothetical. The most we're able to get for Suarez this summer is what you and Zealous are telling me is such a great offer - 30m-40m, absolute tops. Liverpool turns it down saying it doesn't match their valuation. If he gets us CL places or close to it this season (a viable option considering how we played second half of this year, although obviously not even close to a guarantee), but says or does something stupid and we can only get 20m for him next year, IT WOULD STILL BE WORTH IT. That 10m-20m loss wouldn't matter, because he's provided the same if not more worth (in many different terms, not just financial) by staying.
What the Pool fans here (and, it seems to us, the LFC management) are saying is that for less than 50m, it wouldn't be worth risking our chances of success this season simply because we might not get a better offer in the future. Success on the field is much more important than getting top dollar for players that become stars on our watch.
Also just to clarify, as RedO already did both in the General Section and in the Liverpool section - Suarez hasn't forced Liverpool into any situation yet. His comments have not been of the sort that would reduce his value, he hasn't said "I need to leave this summer," and he hasn't issued a transfer request. All he's said is that he would be open to a move. If any of those things happen, the situation changes, but they haven't yet.

I wouldn't under 2 conditions :
(i) There is someone above him who controls squad building, overall tactical design and all that.
(i)There is someone below him capable of being a coach and emphasizing good habits (pressing, movement, defensive cohesion).
Basically I wouldn't mind Macini as a conduit between upper level management and the players and someone to sit on the bench and keep players satisfied with rotations and roles --> which will be chosen by better informed and qualified individuals.

Get what you're saying. I'd actually be OK with that too, keeps Mancini from making a mess during transfer season and also keeps things streamlined on a coaching level.

Wouldn't mind Thiago, however I think he's better as an attacking CM in a 4-3-3.
