BTW those who say the U21s are different to the first team and the style of play is different are talking out their arse Laughing

Koke and Illaramendi are Busquets-Alonso, Thiago is Xavi, Isco is Iniesta, Tello is Pedro and Morata is Torres.

Its exactly the same, not only in style of play but roles and similarity.

The pivot isn't going anywhere any time soon.

It's not surprising at all. If Thiago can become 80% of the player Xavi is then Spain are sorted for the next few tournaments.

The difference in influence they both had on the final shows their similarities, but also their differences. Thiago will become Thiago. Xavi is very unique and Thiago will develop differently. Thiago is much better than Xavi when he was at a similar stage.

Marrone was missed, shame he was injured.

He is probably a better defender than both the CB's combined

The similarity is between Thiago and the way Paul Scholes played imo . Both are very good passers . Have decent vision but most importantly they get into the box very regularly from midfield . Thiago is pretty much a more modern reincanation to Scholes . Thats why I think the interest in Thiago from Man U is so strong . .

FT Spain 4:2 Italy . Man of the match Moratta but obviously Thiago was excellent as well . This Spanish team would probably reach the quarter finals of a wold cup tbh, they were miles ahead of everyone else .

Great game by Spain but you could see they ran out of legs at the end. Thiago was the stand out player all the others played sublime. Moreno didn't have his best game.

The only area Spain will have difficulties producing talent is the defence I don't see any of these making the jump but I could of course be wrong
