Depends on where they play. Deeper in midfield Thiago is better as he can pace the game better and distribute the ball but closer to goal is where Isco's play comes to life. He is technically outstanding and has an eye for goal. He is only 20

Rofl, he doesn't even start week in week out lmao.

He had the 2nd most total appearances after Ronaldo in the league and started 25 games, which is the 4th most. In the 2nd half of the season he started pretty much every game.

I haven't watched one game of the tournament Laughing

Football stopped being relevant to me the moment we beat QPR on our second to last game of season.

I haven't watched a single game since or followed any NUFC transfers news like i'd usually do.

When's the final? a pitty Germany didn't bring their best players, this could have been the best u-21 tournament ever.

Nope. Löw decided it would be best if players who were already capped with the seniors shouldn't step back to the U21 anymore. Only exception was Lewis Holtby as he captained the U21 from the start.

This was the Germany U21 call-up:

Goalkeepers: Oliver Baumann (Freiburg), Bernd Leno (Bayer Leverkusen), Timo Horn (FC Köln)

Defenders: Tony Jantschke (VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach), Jan Kirchhoff (1. FSV Mainz 05), Sead Kolasinac (FC Schalke 04), Matthias Ginter (SC Freiburg), Oliver Sorg (SC Freiburg), Stefan Thesker (TSG 1899 Hoffenheim), Lasse Sobiech (SpVgg Greuther Fürth), Shkodran Mustafi (UC Sampdoria)

Midfielders: Tolgay Arslan (Hamburger SV), Christian Clemens (1. FC Köln), Patrick Funk (FC St Pauli), Patrick Herrmann (VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach), Lewis Holtby (Tottenham Hotspur FC), Christoph Moritz (FC Schalke 04), Sebastian Rode (Eintracht Frankfurt), Sebastian Rudy (TSG 1899 Hoffenheim), Emre Can (FC Bayern München)

Forwards: Pierre-Michel Lasogga (Hertha BSC Berlin), Peniel Mlapa (VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach), Sebastian Polter (1. FC Nürnberg), Kevin Volland (TSG 1899 Hoffenheim)

Yh I don't think they will concede either. This generation of spaniards are great. The sheer amount of talent everywhere would give any manager a headache. They also have more urgency to their game than the first team which makes it alot more enjoyable to watch.

The parallels between the EURO 2012 senior final is frightening. Iraly have one main playmaker in Verratti, much like Italy only had Pirlo. Thiago is Xavi and Isco is Iniesta. Illaramendi is Busquets. I hope Spain puts their philosophy to good use.

Great work from Isco and particularly Moratta set up that goal . The defending from the italians wasn't great though .

Immobile has just equalized though ! great finish !

What match !

Morata is Drogba MK2. Not as much physical talent obviously but their playing style is eerily similar. Madrid would be foolish to get rid.
