Dire performance. The day we stop playing to our opponent's level is the day we actually win games like this.

I'd just like to point out that during the AA era you have never lost with a 4 man backline and yet you've lose 3 times with a 3 man backline.

Re: Roma - Chievo
this team has been arranged to play 4-3-3 therefore playing 4-3-3 seems the most reasonable tactic , then again Totti will drop back into his own position at 4-3-3 and leave the formation a bit unbalanced and the rest of Zeman's troubles , im afraid of the teams like chievo or teams that have lower table position than inter , Milan or even Juve because of games like this but also Totti had a bad game and that usually means bad game for Roma as well he is the only source of productivity within the whole team

Never look good when Bradley doesn't start. Quiet, but effective and allows Roma to do what they do best, the football sex

I don't fear the Chievos, the Pescaras, and the Sienas tactically. We are superior to them in that area.
I fear these teams psychologically and mentally. Roma simply do not approach these matches the right way. The players are too arrogant and complacent. When we don't take games like yesterday's serious, there should be little surprise when we lose. That is the price for having such a young team. More mature sides like Juventus and Napoli will generally win this matches more often than note because older heads are far more pragmatic.
We didn't lose because Chievo physically are tactically outwitted us. We lost because the players simply didn't take the game seriously, as has happened so many times before.

Re: Roma - Chievo
Its sad to see the same problem every year with Roma, no consistency. Also got completely outplayed by Fiorentina but got very lucky with 3 points there, hiding the truth to some degree.
Perhaps it would be wise to sell DeRossi after all if one could get some decent cash for him? Has he been that solid this season? Only seen a few average performances for him, at least not what he used to be, but it might be the other players not helping him that much also.

Re: Roma - Chievo
Is anyone actually surprised? It's sad to say this but its time for this season to end, get these 3 games over with quickly. All we could do is hope to beat Lazio in the Coppa final and make it to Europe, then it's time to stop f***ing around with this joke of a club (because that's what we are atm) and clean out the dead wood. I'm not in the mood to repeat my list of players that must leave, you guys get the idea.

Re: Roma - Chievo
I believe the first person that needs to leave is sabatini himself even though a player like Taddei cant help that much but he is much better than sabatini,s stupid discoveries Angel and Dodo , if he stays regardless of deadwood leaving we get the same result

Re: Roma - Chievo
It will likely be the opposite. Baldini is far more likely to leave and Sabatini will be given more responsibility.

That would be the worst scenario ever. Sabatini should only be working in the background. He's a great sporting director, but cannot be expected to be the front man. He's not a great talker and he knows that, Baldini is better in this aspect.
We need a coach who is willing to take complete control of the club. We need someone with a "what I say goes" mentality and who will have his say on, most importantly, transfers and internal squad rules and expectations. That's why I'm backing Mazzarri for the job.

Re: Roma - Chievo
I'm also beginning to throw my weight behind Mazzarri. He's the most viable option left beyond Pellegrini.
The coach needs personality and he needs to grab this team by the scruff of the neck at times. Conte did that with Juventus and is loved for it. We know the rewards he's getting for that now. Mazzarri has those same qualities.
