It just doesn't make sense. Why would Punk come out for a match against Jericho? Something is not right.

You've seen how Chicago love him, I doubt the WWE would stiff up CM Punks hometown in a CM Punk match.

Although, some sort of Contract scam following Axel coming and beating Jericho (Somehow) after his triple threat match wouldn't shock me at this point.

I don't see how Punk not fighting would benefit anybody though.

Heymanns trash talk was for nothing
Punk made to look like a coward in his hometown
Jericho not getting anything from it

Can't see Punk showing up for a random match with Jericho. But with it being Chicago, he could show up too.

Cena-Ryback's ending will be really interesting.Cena sure as hell aint gonna lose the title and Ryback sure as hell won't be put into an ambulance without any interference.Hope Punk does show and if he does not I hope they don't send out Axel.

We noted before that CM Punk appeared on stage at a Rancid concert this past week. Lars from the band joked about creating a new theme song for Punk's return to WWE. This led to online talk that Punk would be getting a new theme but it was reported Lars was just joking around.

Now, apparently there is talk within WWE that Punk will be getting a new theme. We will see at tonight's Payback pay-per-view.

It would be very odd. Very odd if Punk didn't turn up. Considering Axel is in contention for the Intercontinental title (which I am sure he will win), it would be quite stupid to waste Jericho in a segment where he doesn't fight anyone in the end.

And like you guys said, it is Chicago. No way is WWE going to let this opportunity pass up. Most of them are coming to see Punk only.
