Re: March Madness
There's a difference in the two injuries.
If you dare to look you'll see that it's a clean single break.
Theismanns equivalent bone broke into several pieces and left him with a shorter leg.
Liken it to fixing a Kit-Kat that's been snapped in half vs. a Kit-Kat that's been smashed in half.

Re: March Madness
It looks clean but I'm also reading it broke in 2 places so idk.
"School officials said the leg, broken in two places, was reset and a rod inserted into his right tibia. ESPN reported Ware will remain in Indianapolis until at least Tuesday."
But even a clean break with perfect recovery he's not coming back before Oct/Nov when the season begins.

Re: March Madness
Louisville vs Michigan is the final. Should be a good one. Even though I picked Ville to win it all. I'm rooting for Michigan(I want UConn to be the last team ever from the Big East to win a title ).
The Michigan Syracuse game was a good watch, although Michigan did their best to give the game away at the end. Their play got me frustrated as hell, I can't imagine being a fan. But they pulled it out which is what matters.
Trey Burke was pretty much a non factor. McGary made some great plays but also some terrible ones. MCW was terrible as well, but I already knew that.
If Burke and Carter-Williams are the two best PG prospects in this draft, that's pretty rough. Burkes got a chance to be solid, MCW not so much.

I didn't watch it but Wichita State had a 12 point lead with 13min to go against Louisville, and ended up losing.

Re: March Madness
I hate Carter-Williams.
Didn't see the Wichita game either. I was pulling for them. From what I hear they did what they did vs Ohio State but were punished by a better team. That really sucks but...oh well.
Watched the second half of the Michigan game. Their free throw misses at the end it shouldn't have been that close. Pulled it out though.
I don't care who wins in the final. I guess I'll go for Louisville because of the injured player and because I don't particularly care for Michigan State. Although I rooted for them tonight because I wanted Syracuse to go back to where they belong.

They are an unlikeable team, even their style of play is unlikeable. Their defense is a complete gimmick that good teams eventually find a way to beat like you saw tonight. MCW flops all over the court. Fair and Southerland are talented though, I'll say that. But their Fanbase is extremely annoying for the most part also.
They just lost a Final Four and their fans have a thread about UConn and how we are mad because "they passed us in final fours". Newsflash: Titles > Final Fours and it's 3-1. /rant
Like Charles and Kenny said at half-time, if you can shoot, with good ball movement and fundamentals, there's many ways to beat a zone. That's why you see them get upset early in the tourney basically every year because mid majors are usually great shooting teams and fundamentally sound.
also Jim Boeheim blew up at reporters in the post game press conference, cussing on live TV; was pretty funny

They should never have gotten this far in the first place.
Oh well. Should be a good final. Not sure if I'll watch it or not though

Re: March Madness
It should be a good 1 game to watch.
I think it's probably the most evenly matched final since Memphis-Kansas.
2012: Kentucky ran away with it early
2011: UConn led the entire 2nd half and pulled away
2010: Duke/Butler was close
Classic game. SMH at the Rose missed ft's losing the game for Memphis.

Re: March Madness
Championship game was pretty entertaining.
Few thoughts:
-Belein got completely outcoached. His clock management(if you can call it that) was pathetic. Subs were bad too.
-Refs were terrible, for both teams. But Michigan got screwed FAR more. The goaltending miss in the first couple minutes, the blatant kick ball they ignore, the blatant over the back on a couple different offensive rebounds by Louisville.
-Louisville just wanted it more. Some of the most key plays were hustle plays the L'Ville came up with. ie Behanan near the end kept tipping the ball to himself, with McGary being the only one trying to rebound, Hardaway Jr was starting to walk back up the court.
- The Big East goes out on top

Happy for Louisville. Wasn't a fan of either but with the injury to Ware, I thought the Cardinals deserved it more and glad they won it.

Re: March Madness
Great game, I agree with everything you said especially the coaching part.
Tim Hardaway Jr is not as good as he thinks he is, hogged the ball on certain key plays and missed. GRIII will be the best NBA player from that team IMO.

Yeah after another year in college he should be a beast.
Before tonight I believed it was McGary(maybe still is) but the way he played tonight makes me question that.

Re: March Madness
Another 1 I remembered: that Burke block where he pinned Siva's dunk that they called a foul That was the definition of clean block.
Had to be embarrassing for the NCAA.
The officiating was bad on both sides but it especially favored Louisville as their whole style is predicated around slapping, reach ins, etc. They foul constantly. And the biggest calls went against Michigan.

Yeah Glenn def needs to stay another year IMO, no reason not to when most likely his father is still rich lol..
Some bs calls for sure but it was still close late but Louisville always kept them at an arms reach away with some big plays..
Dieng's stock rose up considerably, he held down the pain like a boss on the defensive end..

Re: March Madness
Peyton Siva got exposed right after by some professional slore for trying to hit it while he had(has) a g/f. Obviously he shouldn't have been fvckin around, but for her to wait until the moment right after his team won the title is just calculating.
and from Kevin Hart last night on twitter: "Now the only question for Peyton Siva, does he leave for the NBA draft, or join the family landscaping business"
Had me rolling.

Re: March Madness
One more thought: Russ Smith was terrible. He single handedly tried to give that game away with awful shots, game management, w/e.
But I guess if your best player can go 3-17(w/e it was) and you still win, says a lot about your team.
Louisville has a chance to sweep men's and women's basketball tonight. It's only happened one other time, but I doubt it happens as they have to go through the only other school to accomplish that feat.

Re: March Madness
If Purdue was in it you know I would be cheering for them. I actually watch the odd Purdue game in the regular season, something I don't do for any other team.
That being said, I can't ignore where I've grown up and will be attending school, even if Purdue is mah basketball team. I hold them in similar esteem.
Purdue :proud:Wisconsin
Now send your love to Wisconsin, because why would you send it to the likes of Kentucky, Florida, or Uconn? LET'S ROOT FOR THE GOOD GUYS. On Wisconsin!
