That won't put you off though, if there are interested one bad game won't change that.

Ter Stegen made an awful mistake but other than that was OK. Could do nothing about the 3 other goals.

Well you see our keeper needs to be able to handle pressure and will get passed back the ball many times.. if he freaks out like that against a simple USA team idk, maybe he is too young for us and needs a little more experience.

Don't really get the crap... Yeah he made a mistake but all great keepers make the odd mistake. He made some good saves throughout the game and his performances throughout the season has really been impressive.

If Ivanovic is very cheap... I wouldn't mind him. I think he's a good defender, excellent in the air, good with the ball and can be that defensive CB+ fullback option we might need. My issue is he'd eat into Montoya's time and I think Monty's been really promising.

First of all, It's the daily star. My dog shits more reliable rumours than they produce.

Second, Chelsea have no reason to sell either of them, they're on long term deals and are happy at the club. If we were to sell them both, it would be a lot more than 40m.

Dont understand why Chelsea would do that when Mou is taking the job. why on earth the best defensive technician would sell two of their best defenders......

Free the Madrid fans have told me that "Him who cannot be named"'s clause is actually 120m, not 30m.

I agree that if it is 30m we should make a bid, the worst that can happen is that we increase Madrid's wage bill, but that might not be accurate information. Besides Kosc is the prem's best CB this season and is a more immediate fix.

I like Koscielny, I think I was one of the first to point him as the second best CB option long ago, but I think 27 milion for him is too much.

Except Barcelona have not been linked with Koscielny even once. I'd strongly recommend the transfer but it simply won't happen. According to Rosell, there's a German player he likes a lot

27 million is not too much for Koscielny.

In the same way that we spent that amount of money on Neymar to try and fix a position that needs fixing and revamp the forward line, we should spend a similar amount of money on a world class CB who can fix our backline. I think Koscielny fits the bill tbh and I think he would slot right in at Barca. He's not too old, either, just 27 iirc.

Spending 27 million on Koscielny reminds me of the 40 million Bayern paid for Javi Martinez. Nothing wrong with paying that amount for a player that is absolutely needed. Although 27 million for Koscielny is probably fair in all honesty and not as "overpriced" as the Javi Martinez deal was.

Also there is no point in talking about Varane. It won't happen. I'd like it, but it won't happen.

Barca should look at Umtiti IMO.

He's young yes, but obviously has ability and shown already he can play at LB and CB with ease. ( Like Abidal did)

Maybe a more experienced CB on top of it, but with Puyol on his last legs and Abidal leaving i would look at not 1 CB but 2.

Yeah I always thought he could be (potentially) a Barcelona player. He's no Varane in air, but he's talented and quite good on the ball, especially for his age. I think in the end Barcelona will go for Iñigo Martínez though.

The real truth that is out now is that we have paid E57m for Neymar. I am trying hard to find out why we had to pay so much but not able to understand it as yet.

Perhaps there is one way of explaining this. The E28m that we bid was only for the percentage of his rights owned by Santos. Since there are three other companies involved the total price is almost double. It's also being said that interest from other clubs caused the price to go higher.

Madrid started a bidding war and we payed more as a result. Not much else to understand. Doesn't matter if he only has a year left on his contract, Rosell would never let Madrid take him.

Kosc is a good option as well as Garay as a backup but really we are not going to get either...

As far as I have heard the highest bid came from Chelsea. So Madrid may not be the only reason.

Regarding Neymar's price, Bartomeu explained that the deal they sealed in 2011 was for 40 milion €, but it was to be executed on 2014. Because they wanted to buy Neymar a year earlier, they had to renegotiate the deal and the price went up. The interest from other clubs also made the price went further up. That's the reason it costed 57.

yes it was a bidding war. Almost all major english and spanish clubs bidded for him. Barca initially bidded 40 million but had to increase to 57 to match others bid. Madrid had a final rejected bid of 120 million and neymar's father said that chelsea was the highest bidder. Cant imagine chelsea offerring more than 120 million.
