Re: clichy to city official
What is going on at Arsenal?
With Clichy gone, does this really mean that the likes of Fabregas and Nasri are gonna follow?
I read an aeticle in Irish independant that if this does happen, then van Persie may also leave?
worrying times

Re: clichy to city official
I am so aggravated , I loved Clichy he would've become an icon if he had stayed , we always stayed by him no matter what! When he played bad we defended him with all our hearts and he goes to MANCHESTER CITY ? I can't wait to see the crowd boo him if he commits a mistake, I can't wait to see how they boo him if he gets sent off, I can't wait. I am confused weather I still like him or not, for example to this day I have lost respect for Kolo Toure. I don't want Gibbo to replace him, but if he does and stays fit , it'll be the biggest _l_ ever. He will be replaced and FORGOTTEN !

City overtaking Arsenal already. Look at the hypocritical comments he made above....now he is jumping ship to them.
Fabregas on his way, Nasri more than likely will too. Dark days are heading for Arsenal.

Nasri can easily be replaced and Clichy is one of the main reasons Arsenal defence is so terrible.
Cesc will definitely be a big loss though. Can't see Arsenal selling him if Nasri goes mind.

Clichy is nothing special, and if they get Baines in, that will be an upgrade for them. Nasri on the other hand, who out there that is available can easily replace him?
And it looks as though nasri has his heart set on leaving....They can force him to stay another year, but they know they can't risk losing him free next summer. I think they will sell him.

Re: clichy to city official
He's basically a pointless player out wide and I'm 100% certain Gervinho will perform better for Arsenal in that position than Nasri ever could. He goes for the predictable 1-2's far too often even though any decent full-back can easily read it, cuts inside failing to stretch oppositions defence and regularly bottles it when it matters. (Bolton away, Birmingham away 09/10 etc)
He claims his best position is in the middle but over the last three years but he's hardly ever performed there for Arsenal aside for his 2-3 month purple patch this season. Even during that period of good form he still struggled to create chances for others. Players like Gerrard and Lampard get crucified by the media/fans for having poor technique etc but they're still far more creative than Nasri for example yet they get slagged off while Nasri is incorrectly labeled a "Playmaker".
If Nasri is bought by Citeh for £20m+ then Wenger should spend the money on Hazard who's already a superior footballer. If Cesc is sold he's screwed though unless Wilshere becomes an amazing passer of the ball overnight.

I somewhat agree to what you say, in a wide role gervinho will appear as a superior footballer than nasri. I think the fans are more afraid by the idea of losing nasri, but it wont be a problem.
You cant replace Cesc, it's not possible, if Wenger decides to go for a player like Benzema if available, he will have the chance to set up a very nice 442 again like back in the days.
--------defense--------
walcott-wilsh-song-gerv
-----Rvp----Benz-------
looks very good as far as im concerned. Hazard's price just spiked up, 20m wont be enough now. Likewise, replacing Clichy is easy, i never thought he was good although arsenal fans had us think otherwise, no offense but not a loss at all.

"I'm really happy to be joining such a great club. I hope I can add to the quality we already have here because we have a fantastic squad," he said.
"I can't wait to get started and I think anything is possible with this team."
Fantastic signing by the way.
Adds great depth at left back so Zaba doesn't have to freelance there anymore and the biggest plus is Wayne Bridge can now suck somewhere else.
Total Win.

you have to wonder if the City board asks them to say this. It was the same with Dzeko, and everytime Old Trafford is full, even for the smallest game, in contrast the city of manchester stadium struggles for watchers even in big games in the europa league. It's been that way since years, but hey maybe tourist have nothing better to do than go to Manchester and fill United's stadium. It has to be that if the city is blue.
anyway, hope he'll rot on the bench and happily spend his salary.
