It is good if it is enabled during matches only. If it is running all of the time... it will discourage posting and be too difficult to moderate.

Because we want to make sure there is adequate moderation for said chat. And with the limited number of posts that were being made in it as well as the fact that I am the only Mod/Admin currently on we decided to close it for now. It is not likely to be a permanent feature ever... but more likely one that appears once or twice a week as we can manage.

I will pass the suggestion on to the other Admins. I'm certainly not against it but it will be dependent upon how many of us (Admins and Mods) can be available to watch over the chat while it's open.

Make mole a chat mod

I do agree though if i was made a mod then most people that get away with stuff on here would'nt anymore in other words there would be lots of bans

I don't mean to toot my horn but i believe i have done a very good job as a mod apart of the chat that Alfred set up but the way i go about things would'nt work on a forum

Nah, the problem is that if we made you a Mod you'd automatically become a humour-less, evil, power hungry monster like me. It's just a part of the initiation process and entirely unavoidable.

We couldn't bear to deprive the forum of your wit and humour in such a way.

Yesterday's chat on the main page was neat, I'd like to see that more often, especially on game days.

How many mods have we got? Like, half a dozen? Anyway, as I said, would be nice if that main page chat can become a frequent feature.

It was great.If you could do it for big matches on matchdays then we wouldn't need chatboxes anymore
The only part where you could improve is posting time, build in lag time for consecutive posts, otherwise the messages pass throw too fast with no possibility to respond

The problem arises in that to effective run the chatbox we need at least two Admins/Mods around, as it's difficult to monitor the forums will keeping an eye on the chat. And before it's brought up, YES, we could let it run with an Admin present or appoint a temporary Mod to run it and there haven't been any issues so far, but you and I both know that it can and will happen given time and the opportunity. Yes, I'm cynical, and yes, I'm right.

We are considering opening it more than once a week, though. I don't think we'll set a schedule though.

to be honest i didnt really like the chatbox last night, before it opened there was pretty good conversation in the two threads about the deadline day and some idle chit chat in a few other threads, then the chat box oppened and it was like all the people in the forum were standing in a small room trying to yell over eachother, which was really meh

actually it reminded me of trying to talk on Runescape

I liked your box. as long as sepi, mole and maradona fan are present i will have fun, hehehehe
