Re: January Transfer Rumours 2
Lugano was terrible at PSG. Way too slow... he kept getting beaten with pace and making fouls. That's why he only made the match list once this year and never the team sheet. I don't think he'll be able to handle La Liga's pace. One thing is for certain... he won't be able to play physically, which is what he does best.
According to l'Equipe, Sebastien Corchia is going to replace Debuchy at Lille.

Well it's going to be a deep line and the midfielders to a good job of protecting the box on most occasions. He can't be slower than Wellington or Onyewu and their lack of quickness has hardly been a hindrance.
Many defenders in the league play physically - mostly those that comprise the best defenses lol. Someone like that was needed this year , too many headers, set pieces and most of all too many players overpowering Wellington or Sanchez.
At the very least - given the current economic conditions - a necessary addition at little to no cost.

Josh... he was really terrible though. So bad that Bisevac and Camara were actually preferred to him after 2 months last year. He is last on the CB depth chart this year. The issue is that he's the most tactically inept CB i have seen in a long time to go along with being slow.

So where is Balotelli (or, perhaps more likely, Mancini) off to?

Red i don't think either of them will be there come the end of the summer quite frankly.
But i find it quite unlikely either would go this window, both would cost far too much and i suspect the negotiations would be drawn out.

I can't see anything good coming from keeping both together at the club after today's incident.

Re: January Transfer Rumours 2
Lampard's agent, Steve Kutner, told cittaceleste.it when asked about a potential switch to Serie A: "We don't rule out anything.
"The most important is only the good of the player and the possibility to play again at high levels."
Asked specifically about the possibility of joining Lazio, Kutner said: "Only the facts will say if it can be the right club".
Kutner, though, is adamant Lampard is not losing focus amid all the speculation surrounding his next move.
He said: "At this time, Lampard thinks only of the present. That is Chelsea.
"On the future, the only certain thing is that he'll change team at the end of the season.
"Frank wants to play in a great team, able to fight for important goals and winning other trophies."

M'Vila:
“I am at Rennes at the moment so let’s see what happens,” M’Vila reiterated.
“If the club receive a good offer and I like the destination then I will go, there is no doubt about that.
“Until that happens, nothing can be said.”

With Demba Ba so close to Chelsea, Newcastle are searching for a substitute. For the moment are 3 the possibile targets: Loic Remy of Marseille, the former player of AC Milan Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Yoan Gouffran of Bordeaux.

Times say we have agreed a 9.75m fee for Remy.

[Ashley] has been very supportive and he has to be even more supportive in this window. He has to find the extra money for the striker. We're not going to buy a striker with the money we've received for Demba. There are a couple of options for me. One in particular plays on the side, which would push Cabaye forward to play in a loose number 10 role, which is a role in which he's done very well for us in the past. He will definitely find a moment or two for Papiss. But if we find a striker or a wide player, he needs to be a recognised goalscorer. That's important. In the options we have, there are a couple of wide players, and a couple of strikers we think would link up well with Papiss.

Something's very wrong if that team doesn't finish in the top half of the table.

Re: January Transfer Rumours 2
Remy is in a slump right now but he will rebound. He is a very talented player and in my opinion very suited to the English game with his pace. Newcastle continue to buy French, it become the second Arsenal really.
For MVila, he is rumored to quit at every transfert window, but no clubs make the final move.... Rennes is ready to sell him.

Tottenham look at this one...throw benny at him so Marcelo has a man to act as a mirror for his fro and a couple million pounds and he's a Spurs man.
But seriously...I'd love to see Coentrao at Spurs. I've never been the biggest BAE fan...and although Rose has been good with Sunderland, I don't think he's any Coentrao.

Re: January Transfer Rumours 2
Fiorentina are said to be very close to signing Villarreal’s Italian international Giuseppe Rossi according to reports.
According to www.gianlucadimarzio.com, there are minor details that must be finalized before the deal can become official.
Rossi has been linked with moves away from the Spanish club for months, but it appears as though Fiorentina have won the sweepstakes to sign the 25-year-old.
Fiorentina will pay €10 million to Villarreal with bonuses tied to goals and appearances that could increase the transfer to €16 million.
Rossi will arrive in Florence on Friday or Saturday and could be in the stands for Sunday’s match as Fiorentina host Pescara in their first match of 2013.
Rossi is still recovering from his second major knee surgery in the past 15 months and it he is not expected to return to training until mid-March.
Despite his injuries, Fiorentina appear to be convinced that he will return to being the player that impressed for Villarreal and will no doubt provide an exciting option for Vincenzo Montella moving forward.
