I've heard Sahin is extremely lazy in trainings, and expected to be a starter all the time, since he signed from Madrid....and his attitude and well sub-par performances have led to this.

He refused to travel and play vs Mansfield on sunday

Michu is not even Fellaini's league..... well goalscoring but thats about it.

Michu can't hold the ball up like he can, bully defenders, bring others into play etc etc.

Not sure if thats what you was getting at but felt like i'd make the point anyway.

A lot of Everton is built around Fellaini's hold up and build up play and Michu cannot replace that.

Everton may change their style of play?

In terms of Fellaini, I think his best role would be B2B/DM at a top club.

thank god that there's some people who don't rate Michu that high , for me it seems like a very limited player overall.. Fellaini is a complete midfielder, he's strong physically, besides his domination at midfield, he often appears in the box and is always an aerial threat, and acts like a pivot, something like Drogba... he is the central point at Everton.. Very good player, and would be a terrible lost for Moyes..

Therefore the 10m pound difference in price :coffee:

No, Michu isn't as good as Fellaini, but should they lose the Belgian they could do worse than replace him with Michu.

He can't tackle or pass.

therefore he has no business playing DM

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has warned Arsenal to forget about signing striker David Villa during the January transfer window.

The Gunners are expected to strengthen their squad this month, having already offloaded Moroccan misfit Marouane Chamakh on a six-month loan deal to West Ham.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is said to be keen on Villa, who was a substitute for Barcelona's 4-0 win over Espanyol at the weekend.

Rosell, however, maintains the 31-year-old, signed in a £31 million deal from Valencia in 2010, is going nowhere.

Speaking to Catalan radio station RAC1, Rosell said: "I completely rule out the transfer of Villa during the winter market.

"He is ours and we need him, there is a lot of the season left."

Arsenal are also reported to be in for Atletico Madrid frontman Adrian Lopez, while Wenger is claimed to be looking at further midfield options, with Anderlecht's Argentina international Lucas Biglia said to be on his radar.

Michu is a good player and they do say being at the right place at the right time is a skill (looking at you Torres), but some of his goals have been pretty flukey eco smile

According to Julien Laurens

Chelsea watched Giannelli Imbula again at the weekend. He is a very promising Guingamp (Ligue 2) midfielder. Strong physically with great quality on the ball. City, Arsenal and Liverpool also very keen.Has a clause that allows him to leave for £7.5m

Except that when Sahin played at CM he was ineffective in some games and completely anonymous in others. He's only real performances at LFC came as a CAM. However, he's closed that door after complaining to the media about playing in that role.

Spanish newspaper Marca has revealed that Lokomotiv Moscow are set to sign Sevilla midfielder Ivan Rakitic.

Lokomotiv boss Slaven Bilic is well aware of the player’s qualities having coached him in the national team and is eager to get reunited with the midfielder in Russia.

With the club in a difficult financial situation, Sevilla officials are ready to accept a €10 million offer from the Russians, and all that’s left is for the player to agree on personal terms.

Rakitic is perfectly happy at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and not too keen on moving to Russia, but a big money offer could change his mind.

Lokomotiv Moscow are prepared to offer the midfielder a yearly wage of €2 million, while the offer could be further increased to meet the player’s demands.

The Croatia international has been in fine form this season, scoring 3 goals and setting up another 3 in 15 La Liga fixtures.

The Ince deal appears to be dead (at least in this window) as Blackpool have cup-tied him in the FA Cup and both clubs are unwilling to compromise on their respective valuations of the player.

Parma captain Cristian Zaccardo could be joining AC Milan in the January transfer window, Il Corriere dello Sport has suggested.

The Rossoneri have been linked with a number of high-profile players during their search for a new centre-back, but it now appears they could sign a very good player without spending a dime.

Namely, the San Siro outfit are set to sign Parma captain Cristian Zaccardo in a swap deal for full-back Djamel Mesbah.

Mesbah, 28, has been deemed surplus to requirements at San Siro and Milan will jump at the opportunity to get rid of the player in the January transfer window.

On top of that, they will get an experienced Serie A defender in return, who is also capable of playing at right-back.

Il Corriere dello Sport claims the two clubs have already reached an agreement, meaning Zaccardo is set to become club’s first signing of the transfer window.

Cristian Zaccardo, 31, has made a total of 327 Serie A appearances, and scored 20 goals in the process.

Flamengo have made an offer for Inter Milan defender Jonathan.

Lancenet says Fla have tabled a €2 million offer for the fullback.

Inter are willing to do business, with Jonathan failing to settle since his arrival last season.

Juventus have made Didier Drogba an offer to join them for the rest of the season, according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport.

The 34-year-old’s future at Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua is in doubt, despite the fact that he only signed for the Blue Devil last summer, upon the ending of his long association with English Premier League side Chelsea.

Drogba has long been a popular option with clubs from Serie A, although affording the Ivorian has regularly proven to be a stiff task.

Now Juventus are ready to pay Drogba a sum of €3M to finish the season in Turin.

The Bianconeri would also offer the striker a substantial bonus if he helped the club to retain their Serie A title and win the Champions League.

Drogba earns greater sums in China however and it remains to be seen whether he is really ready to turn his back on Shanghai Shenhua to move back to Europe.

Juventus will hope that if he is, then their offer will tempt him to Turin.

Sniejder's wife:

“Istanbul is definitely nice! Have been there many times, love Turkey!” she wrote when asked about the city.

“But what will happen, I do not know… I can only say that Wes still loves Inter as much as he did before.”
...

Think this is definitely happening then.Sneijder wont be cup-tied as well.hmm

Mixed feelings.

I'm all for the youth philosophy that we're running now, and we should ideally get a young CB like Ogbonna.

On the other hand, if we can get rid of Mesbah and bring in someone better than our current CBs it should be done, especially considering it's for free.

Zaccardo's right back before center back though, reliable but extremely slow now. He was solid 2 years ago but now I'm not too sad to see him go since he wanted to leave for 2 years already. You guys aiming for the wrong Parma player though, Paletta is a beast.

Btw he also says there is an agreement b/w Inter and Gala for the fee on the basis of about €10m + bonuses. But it looks like Sniejder has not yet accepted the destination.
