Yeah, that's right. Paletta is much younger and better.Twoism wrote:Forza Rossoneri wrote:Mixed feelings.Yohan Modric wrote:Parma captain Cristian Zaccardo could be joining AC Milan in the January transfer window, Il Corriere dello Sport has suggested.
The Rossoneri have been linked with a number of high-profile players during their search for a new centre-back, but it now appears they could sign a very good player without spending a dime.
Namely, the San Siro outfit are set to sign Parma captain Cristian Zaccardo in a swap deal for full-back Djamel Mesbah.
Mesbah, 28, has been deemed surplus to requirements at San Siro and Milan will jump at the opportunity to get rid of the player in the January transfer window.
On top of that, they will get an experienced Serie A defender in return, who is also capable of playing at right-back.
Il Corriere dello Sport claims the two clubs have already reached an agreement, meaning Zaccardo is set to become club’s first signing of the transfer window.
Cristian Zaccardo, 31, has made a total of 327 Serie A appearances, and scored 20 goals in the process.
I'm all for the youth philosophy that we're running now, and we should ideally get a young CB like Ogbonna.
On the other hand, if we can get rid of Mesbah and bring in someone better than our current CBs it should be done, especially considering it's for free.
Zaccardo's right back before center back though, reliable but extremely slow now. He was solid 2 years ago but now I'm not too sad to see him go since he wanted to leave for 2 years already. You guys aiming for the wrong Parma player though, Paletta is a beast.

Lucas, Sahin and an AM would be a good midfield.
I'd rather Henderson to be honest.
I like Sahin as a player, I really do. But it's not working out for him in red.

You have no idea, that Liverpool - Arsenal game still haunt him til these days. When u let Baptista scored 4 goals, you know your future is over. He's much better now though, quicker and more composed.

Frank Lampard on the start looking for a Chelsea midfield. It could be Marouane Fellaini. The Belgian international is expected to sign 25 years in five European champion in the week. The player, who bring in 27 million to Everton, would gain five million euros monthly. Manchester United dream yet to match the supply of Blues to win the piece.
Gotta love the assumptions from the media even L'Equipe do it.
I read the report on this and the english media and its full of assumptions

L'Equipe is only reliable for french teams and french players.... and only if they start out by saying "info de l'equipe". They're quoting someone else otherwise; so it's not worth reading unless the source is stated.

Le Provence, who is reliable when it comes to OM, is saying that OM and Newcastle have spoken and an offer of 11 million euros is expected by tomorrow for Remy. For this reason, OM is now pursuing Moussa Sissoko.

QPR are ready to throw Samba Diakite into a deal to bring Yann M’Vila from Rennes to Loftus Road.
Harry Redknapp’s men have made an offer of €8M for M’Vila, but Rennes have deemed the amount not good enough and are looking for an improved bid.
Now, according to Mercato365, QPR are preparing to return with a new proposal which they hope will help to ensure they snare M’Vila this month.
Offered as part of the deal will be midfielder Diakite, who joined QPR from French side Nancy a year ago this month.

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has refused to rule out the possibility of the wealthy French club buying Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.
"PSG have become a club where everything is possible", he told French sports daily L’Equipe, when asked about signing Ronaldo.
"But Cristiano Ronaldo still has a long contract with Real Madrid and one does not just do that with Real Madrid.
"Today, when we speak of the departure of a great player like him, there are four or five clubs where this [his arrival] can happen and now PSG are one of them."

I remember that name with Ben Arfa only thing that confuses me is why its taken them this long....
We knew Ba was leaving we should have sorted out an offer long before now.

Re: January Transfer Rumours 2
Italian full-back Davide Santon has dismissed talk of a return to his homeland and insisted he has no intention of leaving Newcastle United.
The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to AC Milan after club president Silvio Berlusconi highlighted him as one of a number of players he is looking at to form a new, younger team at the San Siro.
However, Santon, who has made 27 appearances for Newcastle this season and has another three-and-a-half years left on his contract, told the Newcastle Evening Chronicle that he is happy on Tyneside.
He said: "I have had a year and a half here. I really enjoy it. I am happy at the club.
"This is really important for a young player. We are a young team here and we are growing together. That will only make us stronger in the long-term."
Santon has made 52 appearances for Newcastle following a £5m move from Inter Milan in August 2011.
He has established himself as the club's first-choice left-back, but has not figured for the Italian senior national team since his move, despite having arrived with seven caps.
Nevertheless, he believes his time with Newcastle has made him a better player.
"The team give me confidence to play my game," he added. "If you play when you are stressed you can't give 100 per cent. But when you are settled as a group you can do well.
"I know I can do better than now, though. And when we have all of our players fit, we know we can do better as a team."

Napoli have been linked with Palermo’s Abel Hernandez as a replacement for Edinson Cavani.
The Partenopei striker has been linked with a move away from the San Paolo in the summer with Manchester City recently revealing their interest in the player.
According to Calciomercato.com, Walter Mazzarri has identified Rosanero striker Hernandez as a replacement for his fellow countryman.
Hernandez has made seven Serie A appearances for the Sicilian side this season, and has yet to find the scoresheet.

Milan have purchased 50% of Empoli attacker Riccardo Saponara for €4m, according to Sky Italia.
The other half of the 21 year old’s contract is owned by Parma, who Milan will negotiate with in Summer. Until then, the player will stay at Empoli.
“Riccardo Samponara certainly falls within our new criteria” said Milan chief Adriano Galliani after the negotiations at Via Turati.
The youngster, who also plays for the U-21′s for the Italian national team, has been at Empoli since 2010. He has 65 appearances, and has scored nine goals.
