Just look at top EPL clubs, hardly any english forwards are used there. Most them are foreigners, the whole league is infact.

hard to pry united fans away from RedCafe, i enjoy the small group of united posters, there tends to be a lot less idiocy and embarrassment of the club and its fans that some posters bring upon.

on topic: let's remember Ronaldo made a majority of those first 99 PL appearances as a 18-19-20 year old. Bale didn't burst on the scene till he was already 20-21

Rubbish if it was all he had then defenders would just sit deep and render him useless when in reality he's been one of the best players in the league for a long time now and is a much more complete player than people give him credit for.

Really? Pm me if you have a problem with me buddy. Then we can talk about the "members of shame" once you stand to me face to face. otherwise stop provoking me in every thread I post.

Sam is definitely one of the better posters in the rm forum. mtfootball is also good as well. for me sport was/is the best one by far..

Anyways, is this about bale vs ronaldo, or best posters Razz

While mole mentioned bale is by no means a bad player and I agree 100% with him. But the comparisons with ronaldo are absurd. Another place where stats don't show the whole story. Bale doesn't have the creativity ronaldo had when developing, which is huge. Both are hard trainers, but ronaldo really thought outside the box starting at a very young age. That's talent.

For me, Ronaldo is just a lot more talented than Bale. What distinguishes Ronaldo from other great players is his off the ball movements (which I dont think anyone can match currently). Also, as we have found out, Ronaldo is excellent at adapting from his silly tricks which wasted valuable time in Man-U, to a more efficient version of him. I just think he is unlucky to be born at the same era as Messi. But Ronaldo is also one of a kind, so I dont think Bale can reach those high standards set by Ronaldo.

As for the question of would Bale start in Real, probably not because he will be behind Ronaldo, and also Coentrao and Marcelo for the LB position. However, I would start him over Di Maria (whose game is so inconsistent, he is probably one of the few good players with such bad decision making). In FM terms, his decision making should be 8/20. He has gone on a downward spiral, but hopefully will live upto his potential. I also see a better chance of Bale joining one of the other EPL sides rather than any la liga sides.

Lets just stop insulting posters, some of the best posters in this forums are incredibly biased and its almost predictably funny as to what their bias makes them write at times

on topic i think ronaldo is a better athlete , and his crossing is pretty great, bale is a very good player , much more than he is given credit for, isnt that inconsistent anymore either , but nowhere near ronaldo .
