Bale and Ronaldo

So, for months we have been discussing if Nerman and Messi would work together in a team, now its Balenaldo's turn.

Will they or will they not work out?

In terms of Messi vs Neymar, the latter has pretty much accepted he's inferior to Messi. Bale may not be able to do that due to his price tag.

In terms of Bale succeeding, well at Spurs he was the star player. At Real Madrid he won't be. So it'll be interesting to see how he does.

They're going to be on opposite sides of the pitch most likely so I don't see why not..

Not to mention there is a clear alpha dog, Cristiano.. I don't see him coming in trying to be 'the guy'

Yeah, i watched the barca game today and Nerman is totally submitted to Messi.Neymar is managing to adapt to the "supplier" role.Will bale be able to be more of a team player?He could possibly just go back to the kick,run and cross style from the Arry period

That's Messi though, nobody can be better than him at Barca lol.. If Neymar came to Madrid I would have had my doubts because I feel he can be better than Cristiano, I don't think Bale can do that

I just feel the team is too unbalanced as a whole....

Two wide players who come inside and two attacking fullbacks is going to be very dangerous in possession obviously but defensively bigger teams will exploit it.

Not to mention Khedira-Modric-Isco is hardly the best defensively either.

I just fail to see how you can make a balanced team out of those players which wins things.

what are you talking about mole? bar ronaldo, about everyone is working hard trying to defend and to cover positions. Defending isnt about tacking ratings in fifa, it's more about team effort and working as a whole.

Say what you want, but Isco defends, Modric defends, and they work to cover the fullbacks going forward.

Modric defends lol..... he may try but he's not very good at it lol.

You'll see in the big games in the CL this team is far too unbalanced, as is Barca's.

tbf no team defending can save Arbeloa-Pepe-Ramos-Marcelo lol

Also Bale makes Ronaldo look like Ramires when it comes to work rate.

Benzema is a lazy pos too, good luck to Isco and Modric covering all that lol.

lol, you guys always keep acting like it's only madrid that makes mistakes in defense, when most teams are just as laughable most of the time. But since it's madrid everything is x10.

Reality is that defending is a matter of effort, there is technique and tactical understanding that comes into it, but let's not act like it's impossible for Modric to defend, or for Isco for that matter because he has been doing just that lately.

Dont worry about Bale. he will run for us and do as he told. the only two that sucks at defending are benzema and CR. that's it.

Varane will be taking Pepe's place, Coentrao could take Marcelo's in big games and Carvajal for Arbeloa.

Also Ramos on form is a good CB.

At Bayern exactly that setup worked perfectly last season, though.

Messi can work with anyone because he's a complete player. If you give him a poacher (Higuain for Argentina), he will supply him with assists. If you give him a passer (Fabregas), he will make runs and score. If you give him a dribbler (Iniesta), he will interchange quick one-twos to unlock defenses. Neymar too is quite good at combining. You just need to rewatch that scene from today where he is surrounded by 5 Valencia defenders and still manages to play Messi through on goal with a backheel flick. This was always going to work.

Ronaldo is a "shoot on sight" player. He doesn't understand too much of combinational play or how to make his teammates better. Bale is a "shoot on sight" player as well. And he doesn't even work on the right wing where Madrid will want him to play. Never did at Spurs. He works best in a free role where he can do whatever he wants (much like Ronaldo). Especially after selling Özil I don't see who is going to hold that frontline together. All the playmaking burden is on Isco now who remains a completely unknown quantity when shit hits the fan.

Madrid have undone all the good work of Mourinho and gone full retard in a single transfer window. Congrats.

I wouldn't call Lahm or Alaba attacking full-backs at all.Marcelo is a different story.Also I can't imagine Any two man midfield in Madrid working effectively at ALL.


Bale and Ronaldo could be a disaster,or could not.

Dont think fans or even perez would be too happy with Bale getting benched except for the first few games and unless Ronaldo plays as a striker he's going to sit on the bench sometime or otherwise Di Maria will hand in a transfer request.


He could make much more money in other clubs anyway while being much more important.

Have no Idea how Madrid are going to fit Isco,Modric,Di Maria,Ronaldo,Bale,Benzema,Di Maria and possibly Ozil and Kaka in 5 positions.Players that talented will probably not settle for a place on the bench.

Can also see Morata handing in a transfer request.

The last thing I want to see is Coentrao in big games. He's the reason we didn't win UCL in 2012

unfortunately bale plays in same position as ROnaldo.. this ancelotti should figure out how to play them both.

How do you think Neymar would be able to surpass Cristiano? I actually disagree. Neymar definitely has strengths to his game that Cristiano is lacking, but I personally don't think Neymar will ever reach the same level of overall quality as a forward.
