Bale would be great in Juve's 3-5-2 IMO ... as a LWB, he doesn't have the skills/technique to play LM/LW

Seriously, this myth has to stop, just because he can beat players with pure pace doesn't mean he's a kick and run player. If you watch him, you'll realize his close control is actually very good.

I'm not taking you seriously if you say so, when you say he's just kick and run you realize you're just putting your signature on a document saying "well, I don't watch him, but they say he's just kick and run, so I'll go with that".

Anyhow, I think Bale is an amazing player and has really evolved his game the past year or 2- he's now much more versatile and useful than he has ever been, and has been one of (if not the) best Tottenham player in recent years. He's comparable to Ronaldo in that recently he's had a lot more freedom to drift into the center or even swap sides, he takes FK's like Ronaldo (lol),he has less defending to do than he has in the past (that one really depends on the opposition), and he's becoming more of a goalscorer- but he's still a long way away from being Ronaldo- he's still much much more of a winger than Ronaldo is. I don't think he has a chance of ever being as good as Ronaldo either, but he's got a while to go yet, especially taking into account his age.

Stats don't mean much though, so I'm not going to base any comparison on stats.

Also loling at people thinking he is a good LB/LWB, there is a reason he doesn't play there anymore. He's not awful, it's just that he's not really good there at all, and besides that it's a big waste of his abilities.

Ronaldo's game nowadays is all about scoring, and he can be incredibly unproductive at times if he doesnt get his goal.

I would go as far as saying that Bale's play is better than Ronaldo's nowadays.

He certainly cant hack it like Ronnie so there lies the gap, but as long as ronaldo can score 50 a season, he will be rated higher overall

that's because if ronaldo doesn't step up to score, guys like higuain and di maria will sink madrid in every big game....
