Just hope we sign a CB tbh, Williamson
Debuchy is the top target... i actually think Simpson is worse than Wlliamson lol. Moving Cisse out of the RW spot is key #2. Then a CB. Frankly, all 3 of these are absolute musts lol.
I've watched enough of Newcastle to feel comfortable with the attack and the midfield. Plenty of talent in both those places. But the defense is absolutely atrocious. Even if Newcastle sign Debuchy and a CB, they should still look for backup players too. There is no depth whatsoever.

madrid to buy back carvajal for 6.5m
please let this happen, any RB is better than no RB.

Don't we have to wait until the summer? I also thought the price was 8.5 mil according to our buyback clause.

Yeah... but Remy won't accept it. He won't go to a team that is so deep in relegation methinks.

Manchester United's Chilean striker Angelo Henriquez will complete a six-month loan move to Wigan Athletic once the transfer window opens.
The 18-year-old is yet to feature for the Old Trafford outfit since joining from Universidad de Chile.
The Chilean will act as cover at the DW Stadium, with fellow forward Around Kone absent at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Henriquez has been the denied the opportunity to represent his country at the South American Under-20 Championships as United think the move will be better for his development as a footballer.

8.5 is if madrid waits 2 seasons.. 6.5 is any time before 2 seasons.
i believe.

Debuchy is practically done, medical on Wednesday.
Ba leaving should move Cisse back to the middle and hopefully someone who can actually play out wide i don't care who it is i just want an attack which actually functions properly.
As for the depth in defence i agree completely but having a first choice defence would be nice lol hopefully we can add some depth in the summer in addition to signings we make this window.
As for the talent in attack and midfield it's one of reasons im so frustrated even though the defence is crap as for most of season we have been hoofing and playing 4-4-2 at least the style of play and system is improving...
If we actually did the smart bloody thing and played 4-2-3-1 and passed the freaking ball from the start we would probably have at least 10 more points at this stage.
Oh well hopefully some signings and players coming back to fitness and Pardew realising what this team is suited to will mean a better 2013.

I love the idea that throwing unwanted players into transfer deals has any chance of working. You go Harry.
Also heard Harry quoted as saying he 'hates the January window' on the radio today. Aye, right. Like Jimmy Saville hates a children's ward.

Everton are reportedly in the hunt for Cagliari defender Davide Astori.
The 25-year-old is one of the Rossoblu’s prized assets and with their recently revealed financial difficulties he could be sacrificed in January.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the Blues are looking to bring in a defender and may be willing to meet the €10 million asking price.
However, they are likely to face competition from Southampton, Juventus and Napoli, who have all expressed an interest in Astori.
Would be amazing as most of our problems are because of our centre backs.
If Cagliari are really willing to sell then I expect us to snatch him.Juve are currently looking for a striker at the moment and while they do need a backup at centre-back I dont think Astori would like sitting on the bench.
If Napoli do not go for him then I expect us to snatch him and I'd be delighted if we do.
Do you support Everton or am I mis reading this? Distin and Jags have looked good when ever I saw them if thats the case of you being an Everton fan.

Re: January Transfer Rumours
Juventus still haven't fully wrapped up the signing of 18 yr old Brazilian CB, Doria, from Botafogo. There also seem to be interest from Roma in Doria, but they're not offering what Juve is, so any negotiation with Roma has been shot down.
annddd, Chelsea's recently acquired 18 yr old Rightback, Wallace, from Fluminense might go on loan to Roma for 2 years with a option to purchase at the end of his loan. Roma has told Chelsea, that he would see a lot of playing time at Roma as a rightback.. hmmm interesting.

Is he good enough to displace Piris, Catracho?
Piris has been in good form of late, but doesn't really have much competition. After seeing Marquinhos bench Burdisso, if this lad is good enough then I won't have much problem with him knocking Piris off his perch.

Spanish source Marca claims that Chelsea retain an interest in Real Madrid wide-man Fabio Coentrao.

According to "Folha de S.Paulo" Santos have offered 7 million euros for the player of Milan, Robinho. Ac Milan ask 10 millions, but can be reached an agreement.

Tuttosport have claimed on Monday that sought after Sampdoria midfielder Pedro Obiang could be set for a January switch to Juventus.
The 20 year-old Spaniard has impressed with his performances in Serie A over the current campaign and has in turn attracted the attention of numerous top clubs around Europe.
It is believed that an offer of €5 million would be sufficient to convince the Genoa based outfit to release the player to the reigning champions of the Italian top flight.
However, Tuttosport also have reported that Sampdoria are interested in Bianconeri full-back Paolo De Ceglie, and may only be willing to allow Obiang to leave if they receive the 26 year-old in return.

Won't happen.. Robinho is asking for 1.1 million reais a month as salary.. Santos are already close to signing someone better than him in Cruzeiro's Walter Montillo. Santos also said it was between Robinho and Montillo... I think you can guess who they chose.

I think so.. Wallace was almost a regular at Flu, while Piris looked awful while at Sao Paulo.

Re: January Transfer Rumours
Are Ba's demands really that ridiculous?
IMO, he's entitled to a long term deal and 80k/wk for a solid EPL striker seems fair enough.
With any signing, agent fees are a problem, but with the discount Chelsea are already getting with the release clause, I don't see it being such a big issue.

His knees are totally f**ked. It's a huge risk and I doubt any club would want to pay those wages with such a long contract.

Re: January Transfer Rumours
What is stopping the Chelsea deal is that his agents are demanded 2m.
Which what ever way you slice it on top of a 7.5m fee and 80k a week 4 year contract is ridiculous.
I don't genuinely dont think Ba is the problem here after listening what Pardew had to say its his agents if it was down to Ba i reckon this would be done by now.
Anyway as i said its a circus now i just hope someone comes in and pays it because this is not helping anyone, including the player himself.
Also this is from Telegraph tomorrow i presume story will be up later....
Has a nice smile tbf
