Well, after paying so much for the rights, it was kind of expected they wouldn't leave it to just one movie.

As long as Lucas is not involved at all these have the potential to be good.

If they don't find a good way to bring back my fkn homeboy Count Dooku, then it's a flop. Don't care, it's a flop.

In fairness, Lucas made the universe and immense respect for that, but him not being the director is definitely a plus

Meh with modern special effects it isn't too much of a stretch.

Even if it had to be a different actor, Dooku was a G. Absolute legend.

Meh, only the creator can say the story is over. Lucas hasn't so it's not. Just going into a different direction. Can't be mad at that.

I'm intrigued honestly. So many different ways to do these movies and there will be TV shows as well, though I'm less optimistic about that.

Star Wars is a rich world that has plenty of room for good stories. I'm quietly optimistic that Disney will get something good out of it - but I'm not a Star Wars fan, so can't relate to how they feel about all this.

All I ask is to make us a new TIE Fighter game, FFS!

The Extended Universe is extremely erratic. There are some great books (X-Wing series, Heir to the Empire series, etc) and some very shitty ones (I personally hate the Vong, although there's promise if they filter the crap). I will agree there is some good material, but there's just too much crap to follow. It will surely have to include Luke, Han and some epic villain who will never be as awesome as Vader (only Thrawn would be good enough). Problem is, these guys are old as frack, and my geekness will not allow other actors to replace the old loved ones. So I say seal the old 2 trilogies, and start from scratch.

The Old Republic has loads of material. Mandalorian Wars, Darth Revan and Malak, Jedi Civil War... that reminds me, make us a new Old Republic game, frakkers!

To be honest, I'm in that bracket of fans who will eat up anything half related to Star Wars. I can understand people bitching about Disney, but Disney is a monster. Star Wars were never violent films, so I don't understand why we need R ratings or something for it to be cool. Avengers-level violence is more than enough. Toy Story 3 made me cry, so there's my vote for Disney not making dark stories.

So pretty much shut up and take my money.
