He would look like a Gomes
FT 0-0
Brannagan, Gomez, Virtue, Grabbara getting 7/10's
Wilson and Lennon tried hard didn't work really today for them.
llori and Sakho kept putting the team into trouble with their risky passing. But Sakho was good defensively.
Juanma is very Spanish and Cory Whelan is a scrub.

Re: Youth and Reserve Thread
Liverpool Football Club can today confirm Michael Beale will leave his post as U23 manager with immediate effect. The process to appoint his replacement is underway.
Beale joined the Reds in September 2012 as youth development lead coach for the U15 and U16 age groups before being promoted to U23 (U21) boss in August 2014.
LFC's Academy director Alex Inglethorpe has paid tribute to Beale following the news and thanked him for his contribution.
He said: "Over the last four years I have seen Michael help coach a variety of players across differing age groups. He is a talented coach who has great potential to go on and make his mark within the senior game.
"I believe that Michael has been integral to the development of many of our players who have progressed towards the first team and I would like to wish him and his family every success for the future."
Everyone at Liverpool FC would like to wish Michael the best of luck for the future.
didn't the u23 have a game tonight. I take it they lost then.

They drew, Dont understand why we are letting him go. The amount of work he's done and the fact that we can win games in the cups by playing kids is a huge success. Anyways thanks for all the work Beale. YNWA

Re: Youth and Reserve Thread
Well it's not like they wanted to let him go, but he probably wanted the new challenge/opportunity.
In other news Ojo made his full debut this season for the u23s and was absolutely electric. As excited as I am about Woodburn, TAA and Wilson I think that of all of them Ojo has the highest potential ceiling. His pace and control are out of this world. If his head catches up to his physical and technical gifts he'll be world class.
That ****ing pace and control though.

Re: Youth and Reserve Thread
At the moment his footballing IQ is very low for all the raw physical and technical attributes that he has. He slows down the pace of the game more than any player I've ever seen.
But that's something hopefully will be coached out of him.
That's the big difference between him and Woodburn. Ben had insane understanding of the game even at such a young age.

Re: Youth and Reserve Thread
Liverpool have confirmed a deal to bring in Dutch defender Sepp van den Berg, with the fee reported to be an initial £1.3 million.
The 17-year-old centre-back emerged as a target this week and now completes a move to Merseyside after choosing Liverpool over the likes of Bayern Munich and Ajax.
The fee could rise to £4.4 million, with £3.1 million in potential add-ons included in the deal for the 6′ 3″ teenager.

Re: Youth and Reserve Thread
Liverpool are poised to beat Real Madrid and Paris St-Germain to the signature of Fulham's teenage midfielder Harvey Elliott.
Elliott became the youngest player to feature in the Premier League when he came on as a substitute against Wolverhampton Wanderers in May, aged just 16 years and 30 days.
He cannot turn professional until his 17th birthday next April, but it is understood he will reject a scholarship at Craven Cottage and move to the Champions League winners.
If, as expected, Liverpool win the race to sign Elliott, they will have to negotiate a compensation package with Fulham as the England Under-17 international is regarded as a highly prized prospect.

Re: Youth and Reserve Thread
Neil Critchley has left. I wonder if it will have a negative impact on the growth of the Academy players. It seemed he was the key behind the growth of so many Academy players in recent times.
