The youth player thread

Thought I would start a thread to discuss new potential youth players who you think will make an impact in the coming season.

Dont want to know about Ramsey, Wilshire, Sturridge etc. We already know about them, this is for new players yet to be discussed.

Then in a few months we can look back and see if anyone has made a name for them selfs.

Tom Cleverly will go back to United next season.

I hope he makes a bigger impact than Gibson. Then again anything can make a bigger impact than Gibson unless you're playing Schalke at home then he'll be scoring goals and be passing like a bawws.

Jack Robinson .Quality left back . Just 17 now. I am sure he will be our 1 st choice LB in a couple of years .

Handled Walcott with ease at Emirates on his debut couple of moths ago . I havent been this sure of a youngster making from our academy for years .

forgot to post my picks from Sunderland

A few people asked who I thought we would sign to replace Henderson. The answer is no one.

Jack Colback another graduate of our youth system will make the step up. He was forced into the team during our injury crisis towards the end of the season and did very well.



Another is Ryan Noble, he has been top scorer in the youth & reserve leagues for the last couple of seasons. The 19-year-old hit 12 goals in 17 outings for the reserves as well as 25 in only 22 games for the youth team.



If it wasn't for injuries he would of already made it into the first team. Depending how many strikers we sign in the summer he might go on loan to a lower EPL team or possible drop down to the championship.

Final one is Billy Knott


Originally came through the Chelsea youth system but left after some disciplinary issues. Seems to have kept his head down since he came here and has done well int he youth & reserve teams. Quite a versatile player covering a number of positions he made the bench a few times towards the end of last season.

He will make it allot more this season and gradually be phased into the team.

You're probably going to need to wait for a couple of seasons before seeing them shine but remember these three names.

Julian Draxler (17) will certainly make a nice impact at Schalke. He already scored some great goals last season.

Inter have a couple of interesting prospects in the Primavera most notably the GK Francesco Bardi who there has been some debate whether he should be 3rd choice keeper or send him out on loan. Others suggest he could be 2nd keeper behind Viviano but thats more fantasy talk.

The one that could have the most impact is Luc Castaignos who Inter bought from Feyenoord in Jan. He scored 15 Goals in 30 games last year as an 18 y/o in his debut season. There have been rumors about loaning him out but I think that the agreement we have is he stays at Inter or loan back to Feyenoord. Lets see what Leo decides over the summer.

Nah, I really want to see more of Castaignos. Haven't heard from Bardi before tbh but seems like he has some big names ahead of him in Cesar and Viviano.

Thats not troll its true, we only have Youth system to make deals with Genoa, Bologna, Chievo etc.
