Liverpool??
Down to Sunderland at half time and look like they will lose this one.
Just look at the team. Gk is past it, Johnson can't defend, kelly not a liverpool kind of fullback, shelvey is not good, borini is too young and doesn't look like he should be leading the line, sterling way too young and inexperienced.
What is up with liverpool where they always had good players and playing in the top 4. Are they on the verge of mid table mediocracy?
This is not trolling this is a concern on a legendary team.

Re: Liverpool??
This is nothing new.....I don't why there's got to be a new thread for everytime we mess up, it's common knowledge we're not that good anymore, and we're trying to build towards the top 4 again.

Re: Liverpool??
My favorites in England It's a shame that these teams like Shity, MSG or Anzhi spend billions on players, and great, legendary teams like Liverpool, Milan can't buy WC players, and sell their stars.

Sterling has been nearly sensational at 17 years of age, thinking of seeing him and Oxlade-Chamberlain on the wings for England in a few years time makes me want to fap.
What comes to LFC, I'm one who's still not convinced about Rodgers, but there are positives in our game so I remain hopeful about this season.

I personally think it will be a long way back to the top for Pool.
I do rate Rodgers though but the power has really shifted in the EPL.

Re: Liverpool??
If they didn't buy stupidly they would be much higher to be honest if Barcelona secure the Agger deal in December hopefully Liverpool will use the money wisely
I root for them in EPL but sometimes they are frustrating.

Not happening. Unless Barca is willing to pay €35m, that's around how much we rate him
City bid almost €30m and we rejected

liverpool need a striker, and they need to give BR time to get the sort of players he needs, to play the way he wants.

talking out of your a$$ tbh....transfer market was great this summer. It was last summer that we f*cked up not this. 30mill for Sahin, Allen, Borini, Assaidi, and Yesil is a bargain. Cut the deadwood and the wage bill considerably as well

He'll be given time. Heck I'm good with another 3 years of mediocrity if it means that his system will finally flourish. Our academy is great and we have shite ton of youngsters already in the first team.
Today vs Sunderland:
Shelvey (20)
Sterling (17)
Kelly (22)
Allen (22)
Borini (21)
In 2/3 these guys will be ready. They're too inexperienced right now.
We only have 5 guys in our starting 11 that are good enough to be playing consistently for Liverpool.
Suarez, Agger, Skrtel, Johnson, and Gerrard (even he's pushing it, since he's way past it). Will probably be able to add Lucas and Sahin to the list once they come back and find form respectively.

Re: Liverpool??
It was definitely better than last year, but it could of been better imo. Also 30m for Borini, Allen, Assaidi and Yesil is about right, not really a bargain imo.
I'm not sure Liverpool needed both Allen and Sahin. They both pretty much do the same job. Cazorla would of been a better option. 12-15m is affordable. Or maybe even Hoillet.
In terms of forwards, I think Liverpool will just have to spend big to sort the position out. Maybe Rossi from Villarreal, Jovetic etc. A 25-30m striker.

Re: Liverpool??
Arsenal had 4 points from their first 5 games last season...
way too early to judge a season.
We played quite well today.....After getting that first win, we'll get more belief and push on

Re: Liverpool??
I don't disagree with the concept, but the OP calls out a bunch of players that really aren't to blame... The problem isn't those players (with the exception of Reina), the problem is no depth or options up front and failure to finish the chances we create. Hopefully in January we'll be able to pick up another striker, and as Assaidi blends into the squad hopefully he'll come good too, giving us viable options in the attack. We'll see how that works, but I don't think the issue is Kelly, Shelvey or Borini. Just a poor placement for that criticism.
