And I keep reading one day that Wenger is ready to sell us Cesc, then the next I read that Wenger has put his foot down again that he won't sell him. I dont really want Cesc back, but Wenger gets on my nerves for so many reasons

Still, i don't really know what's the situation now...we could get Cesc, and loose Thiago, and as Udinese is fighting hard...we could easaly fail on Sanchez too.
For the team, as a hole, i think Cesc would bring more benefits. He's good friend with many of the first team players, and don't think that he would mind staying on the bench few times, couse those playing are friends, it can be supported better that way. And still, Thiago could fail to impress...but paying 40-45 million for Cesc now, it's pritty much.

Yh your right it just angers me we are going after player's like Cesc or Rossi who are just mature versions of player's we already have ( i.e. Bojan and Thiago) and they will cost 60M+ between them.

Spend the money on a Forward that offer's something completely different to what we have i.e. Sanchez or Aguero and a defender ffs.

I really iam starting to get behind the noise that are transfers should be handled by Rosell and Zubi and Pep just coach the team.

TBH, while Pep might not be the best, there is no question he isnt alone in making transfer decisions. So there is blame to go around.

From what i understand Pep is the one pushing for Cesc and Rossi. If he was'nt here it would not happen Rosell infact stopped the push for Cesc last summer.

Pep is the one who turned down Ozil, Aguero etc etc.

While iam aware Pep is not alone in transfer discussions he has the final say and iam almost certain if Pep was'nt involved like a traditional coach we would have most likely signed Aguero and a defender would be on its way.

All just might be rumors. Thiago might not be involved in any trade talks, and Rossell might on purposely be trying to low ball Wenger for Cesc knowing that Wenger wont give in that way. That way Rossell can tell Pep...."see I tried"...then be like well know we will sign some one else instead...and blamo we get Thiago Silva or some body else whom Rossell really wants.

I love Pep, but he isn't the most qualified man for the transfer job. Plus I keep hearing about how much he has put the club in debt with bad transfers since his arrival (not sure if true)

Cause it seriously sounds like who Rossell wants and who Pep wants are two different storys and no one has been signed so far (makes you wonder what the hold up is)

True, thats a worry.

On one hand, I think Pep knows the team better then everyone and knows whats best... certaintly more then Rossell does.

Overall, Rossell shouldnt have an opinion in my view. Its not his job.

At the same time, I dont agree with Pep if he wants Cesc and Rossi.

Even if thats true, it is a fact Ozil and Aguero are/were available and we didnt/wont try for them.

Ozil cost Madrid 16m or something didnt he.....we spent that on Adriano didnt we?

Aguero we could get for less then it would cost to get Cesc.

Sagna said that Cesc wants to join Barca. If this time around he REALLY asks Wenger, I think he'll let him go. Wenger's already used the sentiment card last year. I doubt he could do it again. I just hope Wenger stands his ground.
