You will never beat the Arsenal board, if you want to sell a player to them you have to bend over backwards and if you want our player you still have to bend backwards, either way you will get raped at the end.
We sold Nasri for 25m and went bid 11m for Mata.

Re: Nuri Sahin
three points:
1) Madrid don't have to sell. They can force Sahin to go somewhere else or just keep him. There is no pressure on the club. All the pressure is on Arsenal and Sahin.
2) Liverpool and Dortmund are offering to loan the player with no buyback. Sahin is the one who wants Arsenal. But Madrid don't care. When players rebel, we just hold on to them and let them simmer. Pedro Leon, Gago, Lass and Kaka are recent examples. Lass and Kaka reintegrated because they were professionals about it. The others just rot.
3) 20 mil euros is a steal and its an OPTION. If he sucks or isn't worth it, you don't need to buy him lol.

Re: Nuri Sahin
That's what I'm saying sportsczy. Lol your last point are my thoughts exactly. That price is a steal now and if sahin has a good year as he should then it'll be even better and if he sucks or the team just decides he's not worth it then we don't have to freaking buy him! But 20 mil is amazing, we're lucky Real are entertaining the thought of selling him.

Re: Nuri Sahin
Turkish international Nuri Sahin’s agent, Reza Fazeli, was at the offices of Real Madrid’s stadium the Santiago Bernabeo yesterday and todat putting thr finidhing touches to the loan deal that will bring Sahin to the Emirates for the next year at least.
One of the major problems holding up the deal was the question of whether or not there would be a clause in the deal that allowed Arsenal to buy Sahin at the end of the time period, should they want to, as reported by Spanish newspaper AS.
The report states that Arsenal will pay a fee of 2.8 million euros to Madrid, and I doubt whether Arsene Wenger would sanction that if it was purely a loan deal. The paper expects both clubs to make an announcement any time soon. Sahin has chosen Arsenal over Liverpool against the wishes of his manager Jose Mourinho. Mourinho had already told the midfielder that he was free to go where he wanted in order to regain the form that made Madrid buy him from Borussia Dortmund last summer.
Madrid are also about to announce the capture of Luka Modric from Spurs. The Croatian stayed away from training again and is just waiting for some t’ to be crossed.

Re: Nuri Sahin
Not sure if this is correct but this would be a stumbling block for Wenger and the board. Along with potentially cause issues on the team.
Sahin, monitored by Wenger since starring in the Turkey team who won the European Under 17 title in 2005, is paid the equivalent of £120,000 a week in Spain, which would make him the highest paid player at the Emirates.

We are sharing the Wages with madrid. Think it's either 60-40 or 50-50. Therefore 60k or 70k at max
The deal is going to be announced sometime today.

Don't care so much for the article. I was really talking about the buyout clause. Don't see Wenger or the board paying anyone that much a week and feel as though if we do it will cause issues on the team.

Ah i see
Well Madrid have rejected every possible way of us buying sahin according to reports. But you are right, 120k would be impossible for us to give when we have the likes of Cazorla on much less than that.

It's €120,000 a week not pounds, which is approximately £70,000 a week. Atleast this is what I've read from Spanish sources. That can't be the problem.

Re: Nuri Sahin
What I think happened was that because Sahin's wages were supposedly so high, Arsenal wanted as low a buy-out clause as possible so that a potential deal doesn't end up too expensive.
Madrid, of course, are under no pressure to even include a buy-out clause, let alone have one that's quite low.

Re: Nuri Sahin
Arsenal have secured a loan deal for Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin.
The Gunners will have the option to buy Sahin at the end of the season, for 17 million euros.
As AS reported yesterday, Arsenal will also take on Sahin's wages, 2.8 million euros a year after tax, and will pay Madrid a fee.
Liverpool, Besiktas and Galatasary were also interested in taking the former Borrusia Dortmund player on loan, meaning Real Madrid could charge a fee for the deal.

Don't trust the English version.... the real reporters are on the Spanish version of AS and there isn't a single thing about this. Not saying it won't be true. Saying that the english versions of both AS and Marca are rubbish. In fact, Marca is rubbish period lol.
