Nuri Sahin deal is likely to be stalled until Modric comes, and Spurs wont sell him until they have found a replacement. Madrid has nothing to do with stalling the deal.

Not true. Buyback is the issue. Sahin is not even on the official squad for Madrid and doesn't even have a jersey number (his old one was given to Coentrao). This has zero to do with Modric. Sahin is leaving regardless. If Sahin would have accepted Liverpool, done deal for a week or two already. But he wants Arsenal and Madrid are trying to meet his wishes. At the end of the day, either Arsenal step up or he will go to Liverpool.

Whether he is included in our squad to face Barca will probably be an indication whether he is gone or not. if he is picked then the deal may take alot longer if he isnt picked then things could really be heating up in the upcoming days

And i feel sincerely sorry for Modric, the guy is pushing for a move however hasnt had a single preseason game under his belt and even refused to train, the new puppet of Mou for complete ostrasization??

Wasnt Carvalho teh only one who didnt get a jersey number??? Sahin got number 15 iirc, but as you said he is gone regardless and he wants Arsenal

Carvalho and Sahin got 15 and 16 technically... but you can only buy carvalho's jersey with his old number (2) and Sahin with his old number (5). It's both funny and sad lol. Both are being treated like unwanted bastard children.

Have you seen Liverpool's tactics? It's horrible. Not to mention he would be targeted for assault since he would outclass all the other midfielders there by 100x. Arsenal and Dortmund are very similar in how they approach the game. It's the perfect fit for him.

It was horrible last year, I watched all the preseason games and there's a definite change. Relatively similar to Arsenal though Rodgers might go crazy and try to start having 90 % posession at any point.He's a great fit next to Lucas though.

I'm not sure he'll be a starter at Arsenal.

And no he won't outclass all the Liverpool midfielders lol, Liverpool has a good midfield.

He doesn't even have to buy him, lol. If he turns out great then we've paid only 14 for a world class 24 year old midifielder. If he flops hard then we don't buy him, lol. Also, Wilshere's return and the fitness of our midfielders at the end of the year will play a role. But 14 is nothing for Nuri, especially if we paid around 11 for Podolski and Giroud individually.

If this is the true holdup then :facepalm:

I'd say the stumbling block is the fact that the final fee, this time next year, will be close to £16m. Bearing in mind that Madrid have barely played him, thus justifying up to £16m is cheeky. Guess they have a strong belief that he'd develop into a world beater
