‘Diarra will join Milan’

Real Madrid’s Lassana Diarra will leave Spain for Italian giants Milan this summer, says agent Ernesto Bronzetti.

“Diarra is on holiday in America right now,” Bronzetti told Marca. “However, as soon as he is back, he’ll find an agreement with Milan.”

The 27-year-old has been at Real since his 2009 transfer from Portsmouth. He’s also played for clubs such as Le Havre, Chelsea and Arsenal.

FIFA agent Bronzetti works closely with the Liga outfit and has a good relationship with Rossoneri Vice-President Adriano Galliani.

Arsenal join Viviano queue

Arsenal have joined the chase for the Palermo and Inter owned goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano, reports Sky Sport Italia.

The custodian’s future is in doubt given that neither Palermo nor Inter want him as their No 1 custodian for 2012-13.

Viviano is of interest to Fiorentina and Torino, with a loan deal for the Italian international suggested as a real possibility.

However, it is being reported that Arsenal could become a destination for the former Bologna net-minder.

Arsenal made an initial enquiry two months ago and have reignited that interest in recent days for the 26-year-old.

Viviano just missed out on a place at Euro 2012 after being sidelined for half of the season with knee ligament damage.

BTW I agree with this.

But with all this talk about Modric being worth 35-40 mill or even Spurs wanting 50 mill isn't it incredible that Milan let Pirlo get away for nothing to Juve?

Since they are similar players, I just can't believe Milan didn't keep extending his contracts so they could sell him and get something in return for him when bums like Modric are going for what people are quoting in this thread.

BTW, I don't think Modric is a Bum but compared to Pirlo he is.

Maybe I'm not up on the whole story on how Pirlo and AC Milan split company but this was the first thing I thought of when I saw these numbers for Modric.

Yea, I know I even said that. I just don't see why they never extended him or just let his contract run out. Or if they new it was going to run out then sell him before it does etc etc

You don't see players like Pirlo just move on a free transfer and then players like Modric being sold for 40 mill or Whatever he goes for.

I mean am I the only one who thinks it's strange that Milan let one of the best Midfielders in the world (the hardest position to get real quality players at) just leave for free?

Like I said before this Modric thing makes you wonder even more if there going to get anywhere in the neighborhood of 30-50 mill for a player not even in the same category as Pirlo.
