Are Juve a Top 5 Team?
Are Juve a top 5 team in the world right now or what? I dont think its too early anymore, even if we dont have CL,weve shown we can play midweek also and still win against good teams like Lazio, Palermo, Napoli, etc. Were the only undefeated team in the big 4 leagues in Europe, have the #1 defense, etc. Plus with the recent declines of United and Chelsea, are Juve Top 5? The only teams in my opinion that are clearly above them are Real, Bayern, and Barca. I think we're on the same level as teams like Milan, Arsenal, etc.

Re: Are Juve a Top 5 Team?
City were supposedly a top 5 team, and look where they turned up.
But of course, Juve have twice the stability, better coach and twice the balls, so I'm sure you'll do well in the CL.
A few more players and you will definitely be there, IMO. Right now I'm not passing judgement until you hit the big stages.

Re: Are Juve a Top 5 Team?
If we were just a little bit more clinical we would definitely be.
With Vucinic/Matri/Quagl/Pepe NO.
We're awesome at pressuring, defending, and creating. As long as we can't finish we're not.
If you were to be asking about chances only then we would be for sure.

Re: Are Juve a Top 5 Team?
Juventus are getting there, especially with Buffon back from injury, apart from Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern I really can not mention any team that for sure a better team than them, maybe only United, City or Arsenal.
What is letting Juventus down is thier attackers, they could have even done a much better job with quality strikers upfront, Bundesliga players have excell in Juventus except for maybe ellia(or whatever his name is). Juventus must take advantage of this again.
Lewandoski, Podolski and Huntelaar are all good call, even pappis Cisse is still buyable, Higuain the price tag might be too much and I don't see Madrid selling him

Barca
Madrid
Bayern
Chelsea
Valencia
Athletico Madrid
Athletico Bilbao
Sporting Cp
Don't see Juventes. But there is potential.
Maybe next year ?
Although I doubt it. Look at Dortmund, Bundisliga champs but flamed out of the CL.
So actually probably in 2 years at the minimum can you call yourself a top five team.
Top 5 team in Serie A though.
Or you can look at it that you're 2nd in the fourth best league in the world. Either way not top 5.

I'm not trying
But 1 good season does not make you a top 5 team consistency does.
Barca
Madrid
Bayern
Arsenal
Man United(even with their shit performance in CL)
Chelsea(even with their shit performance in the League)
Milan
Inter
Nor does 1 bad season make a team shit
I rate them all higher
Make the CL 4/5 years in a row or go win it than ask if you're a top 5 team.

I don't it was proving a point listing them.
EL as a competition is harder than Serie A. Yet is anyone rating the teams in the EL because of their performances ? Hell no.
So how can you rate Juventes as a Top 5 team in the world with 1 good season in the league ?
I don't hate Juventes and I'm not trying to troll you guys either. I mean not many teams can go a whole season undefeated and it's a rare accomplishment but I don't rate you guys as a top 5 side is all.
It's an opinion that's open to change.
Like I said Barca
Madrid
Bayern
In no order are top 3
If we're going to try to rate Juve as a top 5 side because of their performance in the league than Man Utd and Dortmund would be 4 and 5 because they're top of their leagues which are much harder. Arsenal gets the nod at 6 and maybe going by right now Juventes could make 7th with Milan at 8th with Milan flipping on any given day.
So there at best Juve are a top 8 team. Happy ?

No, they aren't. But I see them next year climbing up there. Conte has done a great job with this team.

Will have to see how they do next season...if they strengthen in the summer, especially up front, and keep their style and form...although top 5 is difficult, since Spain's top 2, EPL's Mancesters, Bayern... makes 5 already

Yeah I think they are. All they miss is a WC Striker who can finish their chances and they'd be much better

Well they are challenging for Seria A so they aren't sh*t any more. If not Top 5 then close I guess.
No European football this season has helped them a lot though.

Yes I think that they are in the top 5.
In no particular order, these are,in my opinion, the top 5 teams in the world right now:
Barcelona,Madrid,Bayern,Milan,and Juventus.

Re: Are Juve a Top 5 Team?
Yes. I think they are the 5th best team in the world behind Milan (Due to CL QF run), Barca, Bayern and Madrid.
Their defense is rock solid and it should be interesting to see how they can do in CL next year. Losing 0 games in Serie A shows how solid they are. That's a superb achievement even if they have 14 draws.

Yes I think they are.
People laughed at them in the summer, mocking them for buying so called average players but look where they are now,top of the league, best defence in europe and undefeated so far and look good to complete the season in that manner.Whether you hate them or not ,you have to give credit when it's due.

Re: Are Juve a Top 5 Team?
Juventus has improved this season but most football experts understand that this has been a result of negative circumstances for other clubs more than anything. Milan being hit with a terrible injury crisis, Inter collapsing entirely, Napoli having to play on 3 fronts, etc. Also it's not as if Juventus is crusing through Serie A, they have picked up 14 draws AKA 28 dropped points. If Juventus can't beat the minnows of Serie A then they will have problems in Europe. Most experts would put them 10-15.

Nope they are not.
Better teams:
Man Utd
City
Chelsea
Barca
Real
Valencia
Milan
Bayern
All are better. There's also some other good teams that might be better like Dortmund, Schalke, Arsenal, Benfica and Bilbao.

Re: Are Juve a Top 5 Team?
First ofall, Arsenal and Dortmund are much better than Valencia, so I dontsee how you can say maybe Dortmund and Arsenal, but Valencia is definite. Doesnt make sense.
Anyways, I disagree with all of those outside of Bayern, Barca, and Real definitely, and United, Chelsea on current form, and Milan are tossups, but I give it to Juve. I honestly think after the obvious big 3, Juve are the best.

Re: Are Juve a Top 5 Team?
Milan has had an injury ravaged season where they've had to play every three days (as most top clubs are forced to do). Their starting eleven hasn't touched the field in I don't know how long. Juventus have had ZERO major injuries and have had no European obligation. Yet, Milan have only recently conceded their lead at the top of Seria A to Juve. But Juve are the better team? Sir, you are entitled to your opinion, and I respect your right to express it, but I'm going to have to disagree with you. I think this is a classic case of bias altering a person's opinion.
Are Juve a top 5 team? No. Although they've done very well this season and have improved quite a bit, I really think they've been punching above their weight. Juve are a flawed team but I suppose you could argue that Chelsea are even more flawed and they just beat Barca in a CL semi final. Give them one or two world class forwards and a vice for Pirlo and they could be considered Top 5 next season (depending on their performances obviously).

Re: Are Juve a Top 5 Team?
Yet we have an excellent record this season against Milan, with two wins, and two draws. And despite all your injuries, your 2 real difference makers have always been healthy (Ibra and Nocerino), plus you have Silva, Nesta, and Mexes who are all great defenders, and you always have two healthy so when one gets injured its not as big of a deal. And what weaknesses? We have the best defensive record in the world, and one of the best midfields. We also have good depth, the only thing we really need is one or two big name players up top and we could compete with the best teams in the world in my opinion. Im not trying to get ahead of myself, but what Juve have done so far this season has been.nothing short.of spectacular and definitely something to be proud of, thoigh its still not over and you never know what can happen, but I highly doubt we fall apart again like in the last 2 seasons. So as I said I consider Milan, Juve, United, Dortmund, and Chelsea all to be on the same level, but Juve edges it, with Milan coming in 5th in my opinion with Dortmund and then the two english teams after that.
